Anyone know what they are within the US? Their email support team seems to be taking the day off.

Personally, find it very reasonable.

One can send 5,000 for less than $10 and its instant AND very convenient.

Wouldn't 1.9% of 5000 be $95 there abouts?

Still think it's reasonable? A ripoff if you ask me. 2% to transfer your money within the same company? That is highway robbery.

On top of raping the books, they are raping the player too.

Guess so,..............a flat 1% seems like a more reasonable fee.

No, a 0.5% to a max of 10USD seems a reasonable fee. Anything else is a ridiculous ripoff.

Paypal peer to peer is 0%. The only way to transfer.
Considering that for Neteller it is only an accounting change to move money from one account to another 1.9% is very high.

Moneybookers fees for p2p transfers are:
Send Money: 1% (up to EUR 0.50)

There is no reason whatsoever for neteller to rip off their customers, but basic greed.

I wrote an article about this back when some certain other guy was still running this place. Neteller was so upset by it they felt compelled to send a letter defending their charges to him and he passed it along to me. It made no sense. They went on and on about fraud and how they had to protect against it. I came away wondering how can you be worried about fraud between your own members? If you really are concerned about it, offer a free transfer provided a 48 hour waiting period is enacted. If someone really wants the money instantly, make them undergo a more rigorous screening process to approve it, but even that can't possibly be worth 2%.

What they charge the books is a bit high because of a lack of real competition, but generally it is fair. The P2P is not fair because there is no real competition to it and it is just a way to inflate their earnings. It can't cost more than a nickel to move money from one existing account to another.

Fully agree Bill. There is no way to justify the p2p fees.

its more than reasonable EXCEPT for the little fact that they dont like "certain" tranfers

example

"international certified account" deposits via cc to send money to another USA certified account that latter on wants to withdraw via normal EFT

well they DO NOT like that , they have a long way to go before they can go into the transfers business
