villanova?

assuming they lose at uconn but win the rest of their regular season games...and have a decent showing in the big east tournament...are they a #1 seed?

I don't see two #1 seeds coming out of the big east, who ever wins the big east Tourney( if it is conn or Villa) will probably get the #1 seed unless one of them tanks the rest of the regular season.DUKE, Memphis, Texas and UConn are my predictions for #1 seeds.Memphis has played one hell of a non-conference schedule(DUKE,Tenn, GOnza, texas) and they went 2-2.

I could see 2 #1's from Big East but it would have to fall just right. It will be very tought though playing in that conference, beating up on each other.

texas should not get a #1 seed, imo. i agree with your other 3. i look for both texas and gonzaga to get upset early in the tourney.

Agreed in that NO WAY should Texas get #1 over nova. BTW, this is the strongest conference, The BIG EAST, that I've ever seen! They get at least 8 teams in if there is any justice within the Commitee. A team like Notre Dame who would probably beat most ACC and Big10 teams will most likely be in NIT due to fact that majority of games was versus Big East teams===conference just too damn deep!
Being that Nova won last night there is no question that they are a #1 right now.

I think Yes. UConn could get another loss and still be a won too.

Stuff could go wrong but I'd say Uconn Duke are pretty well set. Nova Texas Memphis and Zags are playing for the other two ones.

Texas will go deep into March ...

sorry Blue but this is one of the best teams in the country and only losses are to Tennessee / Duke and @ Oklahoma .. they are 10-1 in 06 and the #4 RPI ranking in the country and have beaten Villanova in early January along with wins over W Va, Memphis and Iowa

Lot of experience and deep with horses up front ... sorry, Texas is on the short list of teams that can win it all
