Monticello,NY....An elderly woman reportedly lost 38 consecutive blackjack hands at an online casino. When her daughter called to complain the management told her the woman didnot play the hands correctly. She lost according to the report over 6500. over 2 weeks of casino play. When the daughter told the casino officials she was thinking seriously of charging back the credit cards management told her they would contact the authorities if she did so.......The woman was 86 years old.

She should charge back every penny and then challenge the slimeballs to contact authorities and meet her in court. She could then remind them of what happened to Jay Cohen as soon as he set foot on US soil.

This relatively new online gaming concept -- the ability to lose thousands from the comfort of your own home -- is going to be the death of a lot people, not just the elderly or kids with daddy's credit card. Imagine how many similar stories to this we haven't heard about. Tough enough to protect people from all the scam artists out there, let alone the faceless, obstensibly fixed online casinos.

Hell, if you want to be free of temptation in North America, all you can do is move to Utah and cancel your Internet. While you're at it, pick up an extra wife or two, that'll cure your boredom.

I used to play online blackjack and craps. I do pretty well at real casinos in both but online I lose my ass. There is NO WAY they are legit. You can not lose that many hands in a row. You would be struck by lightning first.

Yes, you are playing other players...not the house.

Improve your game, then you won't cry foul when you lose.

what about when your cash goes in you are always a favorite . anywhere from 6 to 4 , all the way up to 95 to 5 and you lose all the time..

i have had more guys hit 3 outers on me on the river than i can remember.

i cashed out after the latest 2 outer ...

can find another way to spend my time and money..

Did this woman really watch her lose 38 hands in a row? I am sorry but I am still not buying it, no one loses 38 hands in a row. And must I say it once again, you are a MORON if you even lose 10 hands in a row at any form of blackjack without getting up from a real table or taking a break online.

As for losing online, I know maybe 10 people including family members who come from other states to visit Vegas and like to play blackjack. Guess how many of them are up over their last five trips each? Yep, its about the same odds as being up if you play say 10 hours of online blackjack over a few day period. Live or online, blackjack in the method it is played by almost everyone is a sure way to lose over time. Period.
