I am having a bad run these past two months and I just thought some posters here might have had similar situations. It does not have to be gambling related. I have been having the worst luck with everyhting and I thought this was definately going to be my year and it is just starting out like SHIT !!!!!!! Anyone relate?

Keep on fighting somehow - don't give up. Giving up gives you no chance for a way out.

Try doing even the littlest things a little bit different. Take a different way to work and home each day. Drink different coffee. Change sportsbooks just for the sake of changing. Some kind of change along the way will shake it and you will be back in business.

Luckily (I guess), I have been able to utilize MOST of my waking hours during the week with work THAT I ENJOY.

Finances SUCK, so the need for 2 jobs, and will be starting a 3rd part time one soon....but just keep churning away with ATTAINABLE goals, and it can be done....

Keep ya head up

In a hole

Well I play on credit through a local...

It has been a huge mistake on my part b/c I have gotten in one hell of a hole...

It is perpetual and I borrowed to pay off intial and then dug an even deeper hole...

I have done many thigns I am not proud of b/c of this debt...

Believe me when i say you are not alone, but the anxiety and depression that goes along with being in a hole is almost unbearable...

WHAT?? LOL!! This way lies madness and destruction! Insiders...your response stuns me, however, there have been times that I was in a bad way for various reasons. We all have been in a 'hole' whether financial, marital, emotional, spirtual... It is part of life. You get out of the 'hole' by doing the 'right' things.

Play within your means. If you aren't then stop and pay off your debts and build a bankroll and start when you have money and reasonable expectations. Play within your bankroll. Otherwise? You just continue the cycle of problems.

Long ago i got into same spot, was about 2000 stuck going into the MNF game, had the money to pay but if it gets any farther i will have to reach out. At that point in my life 2000 was not going to save me anyway. Took the monday night doggiee for the limit of 2ooo, loved that favorite but was lookin to go ALL in anyway. Doggiee catching +3.5 and the favorite wins by 3 in OT. That bet truned many things around for me in my life, matter of fact i ran that into 102k that basbetball season. Sometimes one little thing can be a Life Changer.
Even to today sometimes when things are ALL upside down i take lightweight with a shot of the oppisite side of things that i like. As far as grinding your way out when you get into this spot....forget about it, it aint gonna happen. So win or lose this bet, it will change the Karma of things. Might have to reload, but then again ya might not have too.

If you're betting with money you HAVE, you can't get caught in a hole.

On the other hand, if you're wagering on credit (or with credit cards), everytime you lose, you're in the hole and the more you lose, the deeper you are.

I have been there - and the only advice I have is: You can't get yourself out of that hole by wagering more. You have to stop wagering, climb out and then maybe try wagering again. Too many people have tried to BET themselevs out of a slump and failed. The chances of success is low and the risk is way too high.

What Insiders says is true , one bet sometimes can change your luck, but I don't recommend going 'all in'..I have won a game in some crazy fashion then went on some crazy winning streaks....It really can come down to one bounce , a buzzer beater could turn into 20 grand.

The key is never runnung out of money, as obvious as that sounds. You can't win unless you're in the game.

I got in a large hole to a bookie a few years back. What Cincy said is 100% correct, you can't get out of that hole by wagering more money. If you are in a hole you can't get out of then you aren't doing yourself any favors digging deeper. Go talk to the bookie and set up a payment plan. I remember going to school and working my ass off after class to pay off the money I owed. It changed a lot of things for me and for that I am grateful. Never again will I bet with money that I don't have.

The pain and suffering mentally and physically was the worst stretch I have ever gone through, but I am 100 times stronger now. I suggest you do the same thing I did. BUT PLEASE do not take Insiders advice. That is horrible advice to offer in a situation like this. Ya, he may have gotten lucky. . but where would he be now if that bet didn't win?

Once you get out of the hole go back and learn your mistakes of why you got in that hole.

I can already tell you your mistakes, but you need to look deeper into these too things;

It's been said already in this thread, but to repeat, DON'T USE CREDIT CARDS. I got into the habit at casinos, and while you don't pay there, you do on the statements.

When you bet 1-2% per play it's hard to get in any real trouble.

Ever since I took my action offshore, I havent had a problem. The problem I would run into is trying to chase my money back. It seemed every year I would get myself into a hole that it would take 6-8 weeks to pay it off. Now, with offshore, I can be much more disciplined in how much I bet and how many games. Its one of the reasons I love Offshore so much.

When i first started gambling on a regular basis many moons ago, I hit an unbelievable hot streak right out of the gate. I have NO DOUBT this is the worst thing that can happen to a rookie gambler. In fact, if I were a bookie, I would hope that new customers would start out on a winning note. Thought I was invincible, so when I hit my first dry spell, I just "knew" I'd bounce back with ease. Was playing with a local, and playing on credit at the time. Needless to say, I dug myself a hole which ripped me apart, both mentally and financially......

In all honesty, I can look back now and say I'm thankful it happened when it did. The manner in which I was gambling meant it was only a matter of time before I hit bottom. Learned a valuable lesson at an early age, and have been better for it ever since. Glad it happened when it did, rather than down the road with a wife and kids. At the time, I was only hurting myself.

(As I type this, I'm sitting here yelling, "GO RUSSIA!" .... And I know very little about hockey, let alone Olympic hockey..LOL.....Guess I'll never be totally, 100% disciplined when it comes to this stuff, but at least I know my limits)

A lesson learned the hard way. The worst part is I have seen so many friends go through this and I just didn't even realize how bad I was stuck. The figures just did not seem realistic while I was making play after play. It almost seemed like I was playing a Monopoly game until I finally got cut off....... OH WELL

Thanks For The Advice,
