If, and I know it's a big if. You find it impossible to gamble from US soil, after you've been a good citizen, paid taxes & all, how many of you will seriously consider moving abroad?(Canada(assuming they don't jump ship too), UK, Latin America etc..)

Edit: The question is not about actually moving, but at least giving a move some consideration....

I considered 4 years ago. They have a point system that they use for a large part of their immigration "test." When I got the paper work they said you needed 72 points. I had estimated that I was worth 74 pts. By the time I was realy to go they raised it to 75 pts. It's not trivial to get more points (learn french, become a doctor, become rich, have canadian family).

I've since read that it's been dropped back to 70 or 71 pts.

I don't know how long it takes to gain citizenship and that stuff.

hope that helps.

If everything fails I will consider it, I already am anyway with another venture that I'm working on so it could be a easy transition that I might make. I have to gamble and I would be miserable without it. Hell I won't even go out with a woman if her birthday is during March Madness. I want to nip problems in the bud before they snowball.

Moving to another country is certainly an option on this end........but only about 10/90 of doing so.

Perhaps 30-40 of us RX posters could invade a certain foreign country and move there.

Hey Player, don't let the Major see this thread, he would call 30-40 RX posters a gang :103631605

Would NOT leave the USA for anything, and that includes gambling. I had more than plenty locals before the offshore industry was born and still do.

Use a local. Who doesn't have or hasn't had a local?

Not sure how cutting coupons translates into other countries. Could be a obstacle

You will still be able to do whatever it is it that you are doing, but it will be over the telephone and through other means of settlement. IMHO

Insiders,, just made the drive from Vancouver down to your neck of the woods a few months back to visit my brother in Tempe... I wouldn't want to leave Phoenix either ,, that is a good spot your in.. Especially this time of year when things get a little chilly everywhere north of you.. Went to the Ariz/ASU football game, Jags/Cards game, Suns and Nets game, and saw my Canucks play the Coyotes... all in the span of 5 days.. It was a blast,, topped off by me getting to see UFC 56 in Vegas on the drive down.. Down the road when I have a lot of cash saved up ,, i can see myself spending my summers here in BC , Canada,, then heading south to Phoenix for the winter.. Gotta love the golf all year round..

Yes its a GREAT place to be about 9 months out of the year. But when it gets HOT it gets HOT sometimes as many as 111 days in a row over 105. Very dry right now here many many days as i am not sure how many days without rain, over 100 i know.
