Fish, you said in a previous post that a 1/2 point was worth about 5-6 cents. Wouldn't the smart play in the long run , if allowed to sell a half at 9 cents be correct. If the line is +5 1/2 at -105, selling a 1/2 and getting +5 at +104 be a better play? Or even laying -2 instead of -1 1/2 and getting better juice. Thank you for any help.

I thought about this too. And if you're going to sell 1/2, you might as well go ahead and sell the whole point, to get back roughly 18 cents.

What are others' thoughts on this subject? Fish?

If you can take +5 +104 instead of +5.5 -105, would certainly do so.........but where can you do this at?

Remember, the number FIVE is a pretty live number in the NBA...........some even consider it worth as much or mors as a 2 or 7.

The above scenario is VERY, VERY close to being even.

Put it this way, the numbers 3, 4, 6, 8, and 9 are worth at least 7 cents..........so therefore when dealing with the numbers 2, 7, and 5......one knows they are worth more....perhaps more than 9.0 cents!

If Pinny allows this, make your own assumptions.....they certainly are not going to be giving away bargains for free.

REMEMBER, this is the NBA im speaking about......not CBB like you asked.

VERY, very seldom do I scalp/middle Cbb by selling points........only because i have faith in my own NBA statistics 10x more than with CBB.

Somebody else here would be much more knowledgable when it comes to CBB and what various points are worth.

Can you explain why you think 5 is as good as 2 and 7 Fish? Makes no sense to me that it could be.

I do not.........said some believe that.

In the NBA, it is SEVEN followed very closely by TWO and basing this on the long history of tracking this religiously and intently the past 20 years.

Would put the number FIVE next on that list.

Again, this is NBA........not CBB.

Thanks Fish for all your help. Pinny sells points for 9 cents on all numbers I believe, except number 1 which is 6 cents. I guess the answer is knowing the value of each point. Thanks again.
