What college team has the lowest basketball I.Q.?

My vote is for Iowa State. Today is a perfect example. They lead at Oklahoma 81-77 in the final 30 seconds. Iowa State has the ball and commits an offensive foul, hooking around the defender. The defender wasn't even trying to steal the ball or foul, so the ISU player could have just held the ball. Then, Oklahoma hits a 3. 81-80. Iowa State gets fouled and hits one of two free throws. Oklahoma comes down and with under 9 seconds left, they try an off-balance 3. It's no good, but Iowa State fouls on the shot. All 3 free throws sank and so are the Cyclones 83-82. I've watched this team throughout the season and win or lose, they play stupid.

That sounds like the Houston Rockets. They were fouling in a game against the Knicks with less than a minute left including one with 10 seconds left. They were ahead by 10 points! Let the guy shoot!

Oh yeah, I forgot, they had a technical foul in that last minute.

No excuse for it, I would say about 20% of all athletes understand perfect strategy and play the game that way....it boggles my mind some of the ridiculous decisions players make...in particular when players do not understand the time/clock situation, won't foul, will foul at the wrong times, I'm not talking about 'athletic mistakes', those things happen...This alone, seperates Duke from most teams.

Bucknell up two on Northern Iowa, and inbounding the ball under UNI's basket with 2.8 seconds left. Throw the ball the length of the court and goes out of bounds. UNI gets the ball under there own basket and Bucknell leaves a guy all by himself right under the hoop. He mishandles the ball it rolls five feet and he still gets to it, throws up some crap and makes it to send the game to 2OT, where UNI wins.

... and what would you consider a team that scores 12 points or less in a half - TWICE!!!!!

I haven't seen Bucknell often, but I agree. What a stupid decision. They had the game basically won and then lose. Bad loss for the under bettors and those with Bucknell on the ML.

as for what Iowa State did = NO SHOCK there

they are (mis) led by Caoch Wayne Mor(on)gan who is probably the dumbest and worst coach in college backetball. i saw him at long beach and we would call the guy a "black hole" and not just becasue of his skin color but because he was nothing more than an empty hole on the bench
