I received an email from Neteller randomly today. It just stated my password as if I had forgetten it. I immediately logged on and everything was in tact. Was wondering if anyone else got that and if there is any need for concern?

of course i changed my password right away.

Wow-spooky. You defintitely did the right thing.

Did they happen to send you a reply to my 3 emails from 7-10 days ago? They sure didn't send them to me.

NETeller has a feature labelled "forgot your password". This takes you to a page where you enter your email address. I imagine their security will send only your password and only to the email address you have on file.

Since email is not secure you correctly changed your password immediately.

It would also be appropriate to contact NETeller and report the incident to security since they would at least log the IP address of the session requesting your password.

Whatever you do, don't click on the random "phishing" email which could well not originate at NETeller as described above.

This could be fallout from the Pinnacle experience guys.

what was the pinnacle experience ?

They had an issue with an ex-employee who may or may not have had access to account passwords. They forced everyone to change theirs.

just got off the phone with Netellers Security. spoke to a guy named Chris. he said its nothing to be worried about that the system just sent them out randomly.

I called too. they said something about a new email server that automatically sent these letters out.

Time to change some passwords

Just saw this thread...

I got the same email. This is actually (probably) good news for us.

I called a couple of hours ago... I was really bothered that someone had been trying to log into my account.

They said it was some server 'maintenance,' 'update,' or somesuch. I changed my password.

I didn't feel better until I saw this thread. This means it was a broad stroke of bad management and no one trying our actual accounts (probably....I hope.) I feel better, anyway. tulsa

"randomly"
That's very troubling. I was considering changing my Internet Service Provider, which would automatically change my email address. Then what?:icon_conf
