OT - Share stories about cutting out other expenses due to gambling losses

I went 1-5 yesterday with college hoops bets. To punish myself for the losses, I bought two pizzas last night for $11 and am using that for food until Tuesday. Next step will be Ramen noodles and ketchup packs.

Does anyone have some funny stories to share about cutting expenses on other things after some bad losses?

After a few difficult losses back in the eighties, I didn't pay my rent
and a few of my monthly bills for a four week period...then the old lady
cut her losses and got rid of my tired ass...at least I can look back at those
times and laugh about it with her..we still remain friends to this day.
Lived in Vegas during those times.....back in the good ole days when they
handed out comps like water.
