Was listening to a sports show this morning and a pmessage said it is illegal to make bets over the internet never heard this message before is this something new or has anyone heard this before?

Was listening to the sporting news radio and i listen every day and this is the first i ever heard something like this??

So somebody is spreading falsehoods across the national airwaves........they should be sued and/or held accountable in some form or fashion.

How can these companies put messages like this on and then 3 commercials later they have Bodog on????

I heard it too this am............

Something about offshore wagering being prohibited by US ..... ,yady , yady, ya ......

Since they allow advertisers on who either promote gambling and/or offshore wagering they may feel they are covering their asses to an extent with this "public service message"......:howdy:

This was part of the settlement Sporting News did with the Missouri branch of the DOJ. They agreed to spend $1 mil a year for 3 years to produce and air public service announcements to "educate" the public that sports betting done on the phone or online is illegal. They won't run sports book ads either any more, at least in the content they control.

Snappa thats what i believe they are doing probably some lawyer is trying to prtend he is doing something so he could throw another bill at them!!
