Is Anybody Else Tired of Barry Bonds?

I read in the paper this morning that Barry Bonds is quitting after the 06 season and now I see on Sports Center tonight that Bonds says he will play in 07 if body is healthy. I think this guy is a real jerk! I had the opportunity to meet him in April 88 at Busch Stadium as my high school team played before the Cards/Pirates game. During our game this guy came into the dugout with Jim Leyland and Chico Lind. Leyland was smoking his cigarrette talking ball, Lind handed out batting gloves, and Bonds simply stood there and ignored anyone that tried to talk to him. I have always respected his ability going back as far as ASU but knew like Sosa during HR chase of 98 that he has always been full of crap. I for one hope this guy does not break Aaron's record as Hammerin Hank was a true ambassador of the game while Mr. Bonds has only been about Mr. Bonds. This waffling going back and forth whether he is going to play or not play has gotten old and I am tired of hearing about it. I for one hope that if he does break the record that Bud puts the dreaded asterisk next to it not only for the doubt created by his admitting to steroids but more for simply being a first class jackass. I hope that ESPN though I doubt it and others simply ignore what this guy does this year but the entire 06 season is setting up as nothing more than tracking Bonds all year which is boring and tiring to me. I wish they would simply report the true feel good stories of some of these young players who are up and coming and are not jerks or taken steroids. Pujols,Cabrera, and Arod deserve it. Bonds does not deserve it anymore! I am venting but simply sick and tired of hearing about Bonds. Wish he would go away like he says he would about 5 times!

There's always next year, like in 75, 90-93, 99 &

I don't care for the guy but I have about 100 of his rookie cards so you know the deal.

No. He is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. Simply a game changer. The guy has been walked intentionally with the bases loaded for the love of god. One of those guys I just simply watch love to step up to the plate.

If he had any guts he would retire with Aaron still the record holder.

MLB may force him out before that happens, his breaking the record would do more harm than good for the game.

btw, I'm not a Bonds supporter or detractor. No doubt in my mind that he's used the juice, but his hand/eye coordination is amazing and obviously not a product of performance enhaning drugs.

I agree to a point, his hand eye coord. is amazing but without the illeagal chemicaly enhanced strength,he wouldn't be able to stay back on a ball till the very last second and keep his balance to flick a bat out the size of a telephone pole to either foul it off to stay alive or to turn a lazy fly ball into a 400 ft opposite field homer.Hes a cheat and fraud deserves nothing.

henry Aaron hit his homeruns at about 180lbs. and didn't ware full body armour on his exposed side like this criminal.

Bonds is exciting to watch, no doubt about it. I only need him for baseball so I don't care about him being snobbish or rude. I don't want to marry him nor do i want to meet up with him for dinner. I simply like to see him hit the ball.

Bonds ia a psycho ...

greatest player of alltime?? Hell, I would take his Godfather over this juiced up psycho any day

Ask baseball fans the following:

Ok, name your outfield .. got news for ya .. Bonds name would never come up with the likes of Dimaggio/Williams/ Ruth/ Mays/ Mantle etc

WITHOUT THE JUICE ... Bonds does not even sniff the alltime greats
