radio or tv?
radio - i love listening to both "the big show" (mason/ireland) and joe mcdonnell (mcdonnell douglass is the BEST SHOW EVER on local sports radio). wish vic the brick would permanently lose his voice - he is fingernails on the chalkboard of life
tv - used to work @ ktla with ed arnold (who i have been friends with for 25+ years) and stu nahan - and sometimes i watch for friends still work there. HATE "cokehead" fred rogaine. watch channel 2/9 when hartman or ireland does the show

OK. Time for me to vote. I vote for Jim Hill. I've been a fan of Jim Hill's for over 15 years. I think he could make it on the national circuit. I never understood why he settled for just the LA market.
You can see Jim at a lot of the sporting events around the Southland. This week he's in Vero Beach reporting on the Dodgers camp. The man is very knowledgeable about local sports. Perhaps that is why he hasn't gone national, because he has a passion for the locals.

a few weekends ago - was listening to espn radio - national show - weekends. they had C.J. Silas filling in for Bobby V. used to work with C.J. at espn. might be THE DUMBEST sports talk host in history. knows NOTHING about sports outside of stuff like tennis, swimming, etc - and that really is great when you host a national show. for those who have read Michael Freeman's ESPN book of a handful or so years ago - near pages 180-185 there is talk about a sexual harrassment case involving Mike Tirico and some P.A.'s - and the name they give of the woman harrassed is some made up name - because the woman harrassed was C.J. Silas - and that is a 100% FACT

Jim Hill - No B.S, just the facts with good interviews.

Bret Lewis - See him in the Wild Goose(topless club)several times. Appears to enjoy helping strippers pay for college.
Gary Miller - Ok, but puts way too much emotion into his daily promo for his show - "what are you doing TODAAAAAY....!" Sounds really fake. I think him and Demarco Farr have a decent show though.
