I would never be good in sales, studder and shit when i'm nervous, would suck at it.
owning a bakery wasnt bad, we didnt do the whole dougnut shit. we specialized in cheesecakes. so it was the usualy 9-5 biz, but i was in around 7 and out by 11am, not bad.
Holidays was different. I have been out of the biz just about 3 years now, and I finally started enjoying the holidays, especially xmas again. xmas was the worse. we cranked out some cakes, unreal.
weddings were a pain in the ass, but a major money maker. I am so sick of decorating cakes, i could careless to ever see another one, even on my birthday!! We did it all though, it was fun, and an experience.

Wow. Pretty similar. I was a waiter. I was'nt a telemarketer though, I was an 'inside sales rep'. I made big bucks. Well not real big bucks. But just about 6 figures. I was often #1 in sales. I was nasty. I took lunch every day with hot broads. A different one almost every day. Had them on rotation. I was often late to work, I was often late back from lunch. I left early all the time. No one cared, cuz Rob Funk was a selling machine with no 'did not orders' . I dont miss those days one bit. I miss the broads though. I believed in what I was selling for Bell Atlantic or GTE (now verizon) and I listened to what the customer said and like my manager said I had 'awesome sound bites' and that was the key. I later turned down a job to be a business account manager who take care of accounts with tons of lines. The perks were good too. I dont know what the hell I was thinking.
Owning a bakery? Must of been kind of tough. You have to get up so early for that.
