Melkior Acquires Bristol Property

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 22, 2006) - Melkior Resources Inc.(TSX VENTURE:MKR - News; the "Corporation") announces that it has entered into a letter of intent to acquire, on an arm's length basis, a 100% interest in 65 mining claims located in Bristol Carscallen and Denton Townships in the Timmins area of Ontario (the "Bristol Property") in consideration for $10,000 cash, 600,000 common shares of the Company and a 1.5% net smelter returns royalty in favour of the vendor.
The Company intends to carry out a preliminary exploration program on the Bristol Property consisting of line cutting, geophysical work and geochemical sampling during the 2006 exploration season. A portion of the proceeds from the Company's brokered private placement announced on February 6 and 15, 2006 has been allocated for such program.
The acquisition of the Bristol Property is subject to the acceptance of the TSX Venture Exchange. The TSX Venture Exchange has not reviewed and does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release.
