Gambling is perfectly legal in Europe and since they are in Italy, they are not breaking any laws.

They will be from tomorrow if they don't bet with the state monopoly.

there are as many positions towards gambling in europe as there are countrys ...

Austria and England do allow sportsbetting ...

most countries have state monopolies (e.g. Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal) ...

The main problem is that in the European Union normally you are allowed to follow your profession in any member country as long as it is allowed in one of them ... but still the EU turns a blind eye to the restrictions set up for bettors and the sportsbetting industry => dozens of lawsuits are running as we speak

Still better than in the US, though
