Is this year's NBA Draft crop incredibly weak?

Or is it me?
I was looking at the projections and just struck me as a very weak class. With the high schoolers not coming out, this could be the worst draft ever.

No the Kenyon Martin draft class is the weakest ever but this draft class is quite weak you are right.

It's probably a great class - we just have never heard of them because they're from outside this country.

The HS rule definitely makes it weaker. Oden is supposed to be the second coming of KG, but more polished and ready to contribute. Still imagine if it was the old times and you had to finish 4 years, Lebron would still have to play another year in college.

I still think you have guys like Morrison and Shelden Williams that will be stars in the NBA, but maybe not superstars. Rudy Gay has lots of upside, but could just as easily be mediocre.

Rudy Gay will be a bust in the NBA. He has potential, but no fire. UConn has 2 players in this years draft that will be solid NBA performers. Hilton Armstrong, Tall, Big and great defense and Marcus "Wanna Buy a Laptop?" Williams, who can be an NBA All-Star.

certainly not a strong draft this year......Aldridge from Texas projected at #1 at this point........he'll be an all star.....in about 6 years....LOL

Aldridge ahead of Morrison? Doubt it. Don't think a GM will be able to pass up on what many people think is the next Larry Bird. Good way to lose a job. Morrison will be #1.

just reporting what i see on draft sites.......some scouts love Morrison...some dont....If I recall correctly the last next Larry Bird was Danny Ferry.....Morrison is good no doubt he aint no Larry Bird.......as great a shooter as Bird was.....he was also a fantastic passer and year after year one of the top ten rebounders in the NBA

Ah Morrison has moved up

1. LaMarcus Aldridge 6-10 PF Texas
His grip on the No. 1 pick is weakening as Rudy Gay moves up the charts again.
2. Rudy Gay 6-9 SF UConn
His strong play of late has scouts beginning to talk about him as a possible No. 1 pick again.
3. Adam Morrison 6-8 SF Gonzaga
The legend of Morrison continues to grow, with some scouts now claiming he could go No. 1 if the right team [read: Toronto, Portland or Seattle] gets the pick.
4. Andrea Bargnani 7-0 PF Italy
Gets a lot of comparisons to Dirk Nowitzki, and is starting to produce in Italy this season.
5. Ronnie Brewer 6-7 PG/SG Arkansas
NBA scouts love big, athletic combo guards but his ugly jump shot worries teams.
6. Rodney Carney 6-7 SF Memphis
Lethal combination of super athleticism and a sweet-shooting stroke. Shooting up the board.
7. Tyrus Thomas 6-9 PF LSU
Has exploded the past few weeks, pushing his stock into the stratosphere. However, his production has fallen off a bit in the last three or so games.
8. Rajon Rondo 6-2 PG Kentucky
Has been playing better lately, but Kentucky's been awful, a bad omen for his draft stock.
9. Shelden Williams 6-9 PF Duke
Solid numbers across the board, a meat and potatoes guy. Dependable, but is there any upside?
10. Al Horford 6-9 PF Florida
Long, athletic shot blocker has been solid, though some scouts wonder if Joakim Noah might be a better prospect down the road.

And Ronnie Brewer is way overrated there. Just don't think he's that good. After the top 3, or maybe 4, it's a pretty weak board.

yep......whoever ends up with the #1 pick will be crying about the rule change because of Oden and next year there may be some middle tier teams tanking to avoid the playoffs and get a shot at him
