This autistic kid was a senior and manager for the varsity basketball team near Rochester, NY. The coach decided to suit the kid up for senior night. He put him in the game with 4 minutes left. Kid airballs his first 3 pointer by about 4 feet. Then he proceeds to hit 6 three pointers in a row, and finishes with 20 points. During his 3-point barrage, his teammates on the bench were jumping up and down like crazy, and after the game, the entire crowd stormed the court and picked the kid up. Kid said to the media, "I was on fire. I was hotter than a pistol."

Yeah, that dude was filthy when he got in the game...kid's got more game than I do.

Even more sad, he's probably getting more ass right now than I'll ever get. Little fuckin bastard.

Seriously though, it was a great story. Touching, even for a cold-hearted, insensitive prick like myself. Although I still want a game of one-on-one with him. I could take him.

OK, pags....I cried too. I cried so hard my wife came in and checked on me....

All I could say was, "Magic.....it's the three's don't you see? The child is magic...."

I said that two times. She watched with me and a tear welled up in her eye as well. She kissed me on the forehead and went to bed. But really I was laughing at SkinsRaj's post.... and later when she's really asleep....yeah...that's right. Rohypnol for the married man is just waiting them out. No drug needed. I'm crying again..... But, I gotta go....someone is deeply sleeping.

Incredible! Why didn't this guy play all year with that range?
I don't know a lot about autism. They said that he was diagnosed with "high functionality autism." But my guess is that his disability would prevent him from being able to perform as an athlete. I do know that most autistics are complete geniuses in some things, but can't understand the most basic of other things.
What a story, though, and I feel so happy for the kid. What a thrill and memory for him. His story makes me want to be a better person.
