Had this situation the other day:
The receptionist and I were talking about a co-worker who is a "semi-pro" fisherman, to the point of obsession. I told her that I have no interest in fishing but i imagine the fisherman would think some of the things I obsess over are worthless. The receptioinst than says "oh what do you do that you enjoy that much". I couldn't give her a straight answer. I Just said that I have very few interests but the few i have put 110% into. After a few seconds she realizied that I wasn't about to tell her. The worst part was I think she had some weird thoughts going thru her head. Just didn't have the energy to try and explain and justify what I did. I would never try to explain to my parents because I'm positive my mom would be calling GA the second she got off the phone. i actually find myself down playing my bet size to everyone, out of fear they may think differenty of me
