I never deposit to get a bonus...I just deposit to to play at a particular book. With all the new bonus's that I see is it really worth the hassle of depositing at a new book just to get a bonus:icon_conf

What I mean is that I see alot of 10%-50% bonus then will read about the 6 x rollover and the 30+ days hold and it seems like its not worth the hassle.....JMO

Just Play At The Places That Just Want The Rollover The Ones That Want A 60 Day Hold Can Go Fu*k Themselves If They Think They Can Hold My Money For 60 Days.

It depends on how desperate you are to raise a few extra bucks. If you have a few books you already like and have enough bankroll in each, then it's probably not worth bothering. But if you're in need of a little capital, want to try new books anyway, it's worth it to give one a shot.

A 6x rollover sounds like a lot. There are still quite a few that have 4x rollover or less - I would not try for a bonus above a 4x rollover, especially if you cannot withdraw until meeting the rollover requirement.

Bonuses can be good for some people to try out new books that they normally would not. I've gotten some good ones over the last couple of months, and I've turned a nice profit by using them correctly. Depends on what you are looking for in a book I guess

I can deal with a reasonable rollover, but I won't mess with anywhere that wants to hold funds for a period of time..

I guess it all depends on how you are going to manage your money. Seeing that March Madness is coming up. If a book has a 50% Bonus with a reasonable rollover and a 30 day hold. This might be okay for a recreational player.

Its not really a matter of how you are going to manage your money. I don't think they set up their bonus rules for YOU to do this, but vice-versa.

The key to the industry is to attract and keep your money. to do this they throw out higher figures but the downside is it always comes with a higher rollover and a hold of some sort. They build the "restrictions" to extreme levels. they have to to offer high #'s

lets face it - Wallmart can't even stay in business giving out 20% on the dollar (well maybe for a year or two) - Just ask a Canadian what it feels like to have a dollar that is only 80 cents.

Therefore the standard in the industry has been developed at between 10 - 20% look out for any thing larger - and if you are getting any thing larger accept and respect the almost impossible restrictions.

The best books stick to that with the standard rollover between 3-5 times -freeplay usually 3 - cash at 5 and 0 to 30 days time
IMPORTANT that I say Time because there should be NO HOLD.

the difference between TIME and HOLD is important. HOLD = no withdrawals - you want or need your money forget it it is locked for that period.
TIME = you can take any and as many withdrawals on your winnings at any time. as long as you leave the amount equal to your deposit plus your bonus until both time and rollover have been met. another important thing here is that if you decide for any reason that you need a withdrawal that drops you below this amount - ITS OK! - you will just forfiet your bonus money only.
NOW YOU can manage your money.

The thing to hunt for is a book that stays with this standard of 10-20% - Time perid(preferrably zero)- 3-5 x rollover bonus program that runs specials such as LOWER that 10% juice or free withdrawals at certain days, or once a month

Thx Max. I dont rule out your theary - But I do believe in bonuses, but not if they inhibit my play or restrict my money. It is like if Mcdonalds wants to give me a free coke if I buy a hamburger, Hell WHY NOT! but, I normally drink coffee, so if they wont substitute it, I dont mind forfietting the coke and buying my coffee but DONT mess with my hamburger.

Net losses and referals are also great bonus programs - no deposit to tye it to just meet rollover
