I saw how good Finland looked vs the USA. Surprised they are +160 vs Russia. Finland looks like a good pick to me.What is the deal with this game?

Well, Sami Salo is probably out but so is Malkin, which I consider the biggest loss. But Russia has more talent. Should be exciting: great offense vs great defense. I'd like to take Finland at +163 but considering I should be faded, Russia will win.

all the value is with Finland here,, should be a close game so I'd rather have those big dog odds in my favor.. Pretty much anyone can beat anyone in this final four...

Most Finnish cappers seems to be on Russia and analysis they say that Russia's talent and speed is better vs Finnish team. 3rd and 4th lines are important in this game and Finland doesn't have as good players as Russia has. Goaltending is about 50/50 and so are 1st and 2nd lines.

I won't bet this game. Odds for Russia are too low and I don't see, even I hope so, Finland to win.

I think some of the Finns hope that we lose today. Gametime today is 10PM here and it means going to bar to watch game and :drink: . Bronze medal game is on Saturday night 9.30PM and it means going to bar to watch game and :drink: .

Finland +171 60 min or +154 to advance is not the way to play this game if you like Russia you might not like - 169 to advance - 189 60 min or -0.5-117 then its a pass

look at the Penguins 14-34-11 ROI -39.7 but they have good value every game

i dont bet who i think is going to lose no matter what the value cause there is no value in a loser the value is in a pass

Yeah, that is a great link and without that I wouldn't been able to watch these games much as I'm working only evening shifts until June. A couple times dutch stream has been down, but luckily just for short time.

Well, I placed a small bet on Russia. Our state lottery offered -105 and I couldn't resist. 60 mins betting only.

agree on the Pens comment - but we are talking apples and oranges here

the Pens are one of the worst teams in the NHL and are heavy dogs most nights and are NO Threat to win it all

Finald is unbeaten - giving up almost no goals a game - and is playing in the SEMIS of the Olympics. Finald won all 5 games up to this point - Russia hasn't - and Finland has been THE BEST team SO FAR in these games

to compare the Pens and Finland is way off base here

These exact statements I see al the time on this forum but they don't make sense to me.

Isn't handicapping picking the team you think WILL WIN the game? It's not like capping hockey is like football where you can "take the points", so why would you put your money on a team that could "maybe" win?

If you think Russia will win, bet them, and if you think Finland will win, then bet them.....if you don't know, then don't bet - there's always another game!

The line seems accurate to me. USA was complete ass. Finland's good but undisciplined and their goaltenders are mediocre. The Russian lineup is out of this world. Kovalchuk, Ovechkin, Kovalev and Yashin, with the excellent Nabokov in front of the net... you kidding me? This is gold medal material.

Russia wins somewhat easily. Couple of power play goals, at least one while Saku Koivu's in the penalty box. 5-2 is my guess.

Betting is about calculating value. The probabilities of outcomes.

If the Detriot Pistons are playing at home to the Charlotte Bobcats I'd assume they will win but I have to estimate how often they should win and then compare it to the line being offered. I'm not just going to bet on Detriot because I believe they are going to win.
