That would make Flutie the NFL's version of Chuck Norris.

Do you really see Flutie as a kicker? I guess that would give him another shot to sell more Flutie flakes

He will be back. They have to sign him!

2 things AV does:

he makes kicks and sells Jersys. A lot of both too.

Amazing that a kicker can make that much money.

Teams are happy to pay that much to kickers who don't shank in big games. I'm sure Indy would be willing to pay him that much.

Journey I have to disagree with you. Kickers are more important than people give them credit for. While I hate New England, I respect AV and think he should be the highest paid kicker in the league. He made 2 game winning FGs in Superbowls and both were of decent distance and were good by a mile. Everyone laughs about kickers, but then bitch about kickers missing FGs. Ask Giants fans if they wanted AV during the Seattle game.

I agree. If anyone should make that much, AV should....well, at least until this year.

I wasn't saying AV wasn't worth it, just reflecting on how far the salaries have jumped for kickers, remember not too long ago 100K was a top kickers salary, same goes for head coaches.

BTW- Vandy is one of the games best kickers.

Oh, it's borderline retarded what they make for what they do....unless you figure in how many games they win or lose for their teams.

They are like a closing pitcher who is brought in with 2 strikes & 3 balls with the bases loaded with a 1 run lead in the bottom of the 9th. This is all you do, now DO IT!!!!
