I cant believe it at all. This sportsbook has a Bonus Bet for $10 on Kobe Bryant over under 32.5 points on Sunday. The way it works is you bet $10 and if you lose, they refund the $10.
I have had an account at this book for a long time and made many real money plays. I log-in today to check my balance and pending wagers there and I bet the Kobe bet.
When the pending wagers pop-up I see that I had already bet the Kobe bet the night before and the other way. I bet it under last night, over today. I have no memory at all of betting this last night but apparently I did, because there it is in my pending wagers.
So now I have made the Bonus Bet twice. This is a simple honest mistake, I had no intention of doing so. So I IMMEDIATELY log-in to their live support and explain the situation and ask for one of the bets to be cancelled as I had no intention of double betting this ( which is of course prohibited). I made an honest mistake over a throw away bet I couldnt care less about, but I brought the situation to their attention immediately and asked that it be taken care of.
Customer support guy makes a smart alec remark at one point, but I ignore it and just explain it was a no-harm no foul error and I want one bet cancelled so there is no hint of wrongdoing by me. ( I like this book, well, used too). He agrees to cancel one bet. That should be the end of it. I did an honest boo-boo but promptly made it right. This bet does not even go off until SUNDAY! its a bet on Kobe's Sunday game points! So I get them to cancel it as soon as I see my mistake and well ahead of gametime. And I contacted them, not the other way around and right after entering the second bet. Once I saw I had two wagers pending I contacted them to resolve my mistake. It was the only thing I could do at this point. I could nt take the second one back, I had to call them and explain I messed up and I did not mean to do that.
I do not have a copy of the live-support session ( I never thought I'd need to save it, everything was routine, I did an honest mess up over a pittance and corrected the problem. Guy on other end agrees to cancel one bet. Problem solved, right? Wrong.
Here is the e-mail communication I have had since. I later got an e-mail from their management saying they are going to penalize my account for betting both sides of the same game. Never mind it was completely accidental and it makes no sense at all that I would do this or that I would do this and then immediately contact them to explain it was accidental and ask for one of the bets to be cancelled.
I am 100% telling the truth and have nothing to hide. If I did I would not post this publicly. I am just shocked they would treat me like this after at least a year I wagered there, never any problems and I contacted them to let them know it was an honest goof-up.
I'll do a search for Willheims e-mail address and ask him to contact them. I dodnt know what the "Penalty" to my account is they intend to steal from me, but this is beyond money. What they are doing is wrong and I really just don't get it.....at all.
Here are the e-mails
