I am having a truly bizarre dispute with a sportsbook

I cant believe it at all. This sportsbook has a Bonus Bet for $10 on Kobe Bryant over under 32.5 points on Sunday. The way it works is you bet $10 and if you lose, they refund the $10.

I have had an account at this book for a long time and made many real money plays. I log-in today to check my balance and pending wagers there and I bet the Kobe bet.

When the pending wagers pop-up I see that I had already bet the Kobe bet the night before and the other way. I bet it under last night, over today. I have no memory at all of betting this last night but apparently I did, because there it is in my pending wagers.

So now I have made the Bonus Bet twice. This is a simple honest mistake, I had no intention of doing so. So I IMMEDIATELY log-in to their live support and explain the situation and ask for one of the bets to be cancelled as I had no intention of double betting this ( which is of course prohibited). I made an honest mistake over a throw away bet I couldnt care less about, but I brought the situation to their attention immediately and asked that it be taken care of.

Customer support guy makes a smart alec remark at one point, but I ignore it and just explain it was a no-harm no foul error and I want one bet cancelled so there is no hint of wrongdoing by me. ( I like this book, well, used too). He agrees to cancel one bet. That should be the end of it. I did an honest boo-boo but promptly made it right. This bet does not even go off until SUNDAY! its a bet on Kobe's Sunday game points! So I get them to cancel it as soon as I see my mistake and well ahead of gametime. And I contacted them, not the other way around and right after entering the second bet. Once I saw I had two wagers pending I contacted them to resolve my mistake. It was the only thing I could do at this point. I could nt take the second one back, I had to call them and explain I messed up and I did not mean to do that.

I do not have a copy of the live-support session ( I never thought I'd need to save it, everything was routine, I did an honest mess up over a pittance and corrected the problem. Guy on other end agrees to cancel one bet. Problem solved, right? Wrong.

Here is the e-mail communication I have had since. I later got an e-mail from their management saying they are going to penalize my account for betting both sides of the same game. Never mind it was completely accidental and it makes no sense at all that I would do this or that I would do this and then immediately contact them to explain it was accidental and ask for one of the bets to be cancelled.

I am 100% telling the truth and have nothing to hide. If I did I would not post this publicly. I am just shocked they would treat me like this after at least a year I wagered there, never any problems and I contacted them to let them know it was an honest goof-up.

I'll do a search for Willheims e-mail address and ask him to contact them. I dodnt know what the "Penalty" to my account is they intend to steal from me, but this is beyond money. What they are doing is wrong and I really just don't get it.....at all.

Here are the e-mails

Another EFS book up to no good ... they wouldn't want common sense getting in the way of a stupid decision.

I have tried to resolve this. the original contact my me to them asking one of the bets be cancelled ought to have done it.... why in Gods green earth did this carry on beyond that? I dont know. I'll never know.

but I sent them another e-mail since my post here pointing out that I had no intention of wrongdoing and do not want a dispute, but again I was told their management decision is quite final. I guess they feel its OK to debit from people who's money they hold at their whim. I mean what can I do about it?

paging wilheim.... paging wilheim.... you got mail. this whole thing is idiotic, not by me, but by them. But I have tried several times now to resolve it and point out to them I did nothing wrong. they insist it is their right and irreversable decision to steal from my account.

Since when did it become illegal to bet both sides of the same game? Is it just because of the Bonus Bet? Is that bonus the reason it is now against the rules to do so, or is it against their rules all of the time? I am guessing that this is sportsbetting.com, right?

no, it isnt sportsbetting.com

its a Bonus Bet, you can only bet it once. the thing is, I had absolutely no intention of betting this two ways. doing so would never be paid off anyway. and I do bet real money there all the time, not sure why they cast me down into the scammer lot

when I realized I had bet this a second time, I immediately contacted live support and asked the second bet be voided. actually my exact words were that one of the bets be voided. I did not want a dispute to happen and tried to avoid it. but I am not going to stand by the wayside and let them steal a "penalty" from my account when I did nothing wrong because they say their management decided it was OK and I can go fukk myself if i dont like that.

if I did something wrong then fine I deserve it, but i am ivory soap here

I've read some complaints on them at SBR...honestly, if they are going to treat you like that, there are plenty of other books to give your business to...I'd cash out and be done with them...

Is this issue with sportsbook.com? I'm taking a guess because it sounds like how their chat sessions usually go, and how they might act about something like this.

You definitely didn't deserve a penalty of any sort here. Hopefully the book will reconsider if the situation is more carefully reveiwed. Otherwise, I would say get a payout and move on to somewhere else.

its sportingbetusa.com

I am angry they are treating me like this, i did nothing to deserve it. The only reason I didnt say their name originally in my post is that I have 3 futures bets with them that will take a while to resolve, but I am looking very good.

orlando magic under 35.5 wins 575-500
phoenix suns over 43.5 wins 575-425
american idol winner to be a girl 100-91

I hate it as much as anyone else when posts talk about mysterious bad books but dont name names. so there you go. I named names. I hate this book now for what they did to me, but they still owe me for these futures. after that, they can go fukk themselves.

I mean if I did something wrong, which I didnt, but if I did what is the proper response from them?
who knows? my account moves half the distance to the goal line? :icon_conf

deduct two dollars and fifty cents?

see to it that I dont get any discount pizza coupons in the mail?

this whole thing is embarrasing and not to me, they should be embarrased.

Definitely the worst cs in the industry. Brutality at best. Same old, same old. The Sportingbet PLC group is a known leader in customer dissatisfaction and players disputes.

At some books, they have people making decisions that have no business doing so. Hopefully this gets put into the right hands and sanity rules.

SportsBookReview has SportbettingUSA rated a D+. A poor book.
Of course your going to come in here with your moral compass attitude and slam this book, but when someone brings up a security issue at Pinny that alot of us had with the password postcards being sent out in mail, your response is Great book #1 , but look the other way on the issue. Once again your Posts are starting to become irrelavant
