This was reported in another thread.

Don't believe the slander.

If its illegal, why have'nt any of the estimated 30 million+ United States citizens that wager online ever been arrested?

Fish, my guess (and only guess ) for this is this. The law has been interpretered as only meaning bookies, are thos taking the bets.... "whoever being in the business of" is the way the law reads. Now if they say that in the "business of" includes the players....LOOK THE FU#K OUT. I don't know--hope we hear from someone the knows!

I wonder if a case has ever been to the Supreme Court to determine the meaning of the words "in the business of". Seems it COULD have a wider defination. (I asked this question over at Major's site a year or two ago and Jay Cohen--said something to the effect that anything is possible.).

Hope we get feedback on this.

Did you answer Vikings' question in his Neteller thread?

there will be peace in the middle east before online gambling or porn is prosecuted in a extensive effort.......this horse has been out of the barn for a long time.

IMO, you really underestimate the desire of your country to limit personal freedoms.

Oh no, I'm not. It will take between 3 and 4 people getting charged with *something* and a smallsized ad campaign to scare US gamblers.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I still haven't seen anything legal where it says bookies or the public in general.

Maybe someone can feel me in. Thanks

Don't ever be confident you will not get f##ked by the feds - just ask Jay Cohen! And I do know some gamblers that have been destroyed by the feds and locals. Just be careful.

Were the gamblers doing ANY type of booking or taking bets from others in any way? Was there some way for the government to say--"in the business of" ?
I'm getting ready to claim my winnings (like FISHHEAD says he does) on Income taxes...Should I be worried? ($21,000 lost 24,000 won)
