</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>The owners of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas say they have suspended plans to build a $1 billion condominium project.
Executives say put the project on hold while they consider offers from buyers wanting to purchase the hip resort just off the Strip.
Hard Rock Hotel Inc. executives would not comment on how many proposals were on the table or who had made them.
The company has sent letters to condo buyers offering refunds.
The project is one of a handful of condominium projects to be canceled in recent months.

Rising insurance rates, possible rising interest rates, and a stabling real estate market here in Florida is having a dramatic negative effect on condo sales here Clearwater Beach.

More and more and more FOR SALE and FOR RENT signs are going up everyday around here.

Vegas is getting to be a joke with all these condos. Half of the supposed projects will get cancelled. Who the hell is supposed to be buying all these condos? I predict a complete collapse like they had in the 70's.

There is a waiting list for most of them.

There might have been a waiting list at one time, but unless it's the one's that are the hottest around, those waiting lists are a thing of the past. That's all real estate agent BS.

2 years ago there were 1200 homes on the market in Vegas for sale, today there are 12,000+.

Some poster here mentioned that a Vegas real estate agent told them this.

The condo complex I manage in the SW sold 564 units in less than two years, the average price was around 235,000.

There is already a waiting list for one of our sister propertys. I don't make this stuff up.

I know things are "slowing down," Please feel free to let us know where the hottest real estate market is now?

I realize this...I just can't comprehend where all these people are coming from.

I guess there are a lot of rich people that just like to have a 2nd home in Vegas to stay in when they go play.

Most are from So Cal where Vegas is still seen as a bargain.

A Lot from the rust bucket for retirement out of the cold.

The weather in the Vegas Valley was absolutely fantastic this Winter and the smog that fish always bitches about was almost non-existant.

I'm not head over heels in love with this city but it's not bad compared to most metropolitian nightmares.
