Is there a way a forum member can set up instant e-mail notification when a poster they like to follow either starts or contributes to a thread ?

I am really gearing up for baseball and just do not have the time to handicap. I keep hearing certain names that keep popping up like bucsfan, sherwood, choptank and journeyman.

Instead of hunting for their picks wouldn't be great to receive an email when they post.

If it helps any Bucsfan usually posts his picks around 6pm est about an hour before the first set of games. JMAN and Choptalk also use the record tracking forum so you may want to check that out since it had less clutter then the main baseball forum. The big downfall I see in your fav poster/email idea is that guys like JMAN post 30+ times a day and getting 30 different e-mails would drive you crazy.

You can subscibe to a thread but you cant subscribe to a poster. Thats a good thing because all you have to do is subscribe to the threads of me,bucsfan and Journeyman that we post in the tracker-room because thats a season long running thread. And you wont have to go thru all the other non baseball pick post that we have. Just the picks.

Just click on thread tools on the yellow bar and then click on subscribe to this thread through email and you will get a notification everytime there is a new post.

you can either go to the member list, or find their name if they are "currently online" and click on their name. Then, click "find all posts by" the poster and you can look at their recent posts.

You can also click on your own username and search your own posts to check and see who has replied to your threads, ect... :thumbsup2:

its very hard to follow somesones every play unless you sit here all day...Bucsfan is very consistent with how he posts his plays, all at once and usually around late afternoon...If I were you I would look for someone like that.

I don't recommend anyone follow me, and I appreciate the compliments its just that I don't post picks regularly...

Jman:

You are too modest. Both you and Bucs had outstanding seasons in baseball last year as shown in the Tracker Forum. I hope you do post daily or at least similiar to last year. It's my off season other then following the Giants. Wouldn't mind making a little extra cash on the side.:103631605

Lose the modesty, J-Man.
You can say you have game without looking like a pompous dick.

I think we should make Bucs and Jman post the plays at set times for our convenience. They should be allowed a small window for variance. 9am est time. Ah what a dream world for the followers it would be. Maybe they could just place my bets for me. Now, thats an idea.

Good Luck guys.

I hope you guys dont put too much pressure on Bucs and J-man

Also I think Dubpoet and Chop did pretty good which reminds me I need to find the links to the old tracker standings so everyone can see last years results.

It's very easy to find Bucsfan's post in baseball, check around 5:30 pm weekdays, its usually the one with 75 replies saying thanks, and nice job around 11:30!

:money:

I think Bucky was about break even the final two months ...if I had to follow any one poster in baseball it would be him.

Journeys is easy to find he posts his plays in the tracker forum

Bucs plays show up first in de basaboil 'forem, but then he copys them over later to tracker.

I met Bucs in person and I will say he has the look of a handicapper. Very ferocious look in his eyes that just says "I eat bookies"

Dub, don't be so hard on those guys... If they are to place bets there's no need for posting... they'll have more time to transfer us the winnings
