Paris Hilton just signed up recently she posted in the Rubber Room. So if Paris needs help please do not be mean to Ms.Hilton.

Celebritys don't always have the time to learn all the gambling terminology.

Back in the good old days of Dial-Up BBS's, there used to be an unwritten code that you lurk for a month or so to learn the ways of the forum, that seems to be ignored with today's youth ;o)

LOL! Really?! Man, funny and clever. I like it. I am terrible at making up names, like when I make a player in a sports game I can never think of a good name for him.

Actually we get all kinds of newbies. Many say they have lurked here for months, others say this is their first forum experience. Bottom line what better place for a newbie to come to than te Rx? Here they can learn much about the in's and out's of Offshore gambling by just paying attention. Some newbies are really not newbies but veteran posters from around the internet, a lot of these jump right in and are easy to spot. We get some touts who I steer to the Site Promotion forum right away. Then unfortunately we get the odd ghost, they are also easy to spot, these I leave alone unless an un-productive agenda becomes apparent.
We also get Politcal Forum newbies, Bookie Chit Chat Forum newbies, Financial Forum newbies and even Rubber Room newbies (mainly ghosts)..

They do keep me busy...

I like the "I'm new here so who should I follow" posts.

Not that there is anything wrong with lurking or following but at least read some posts and figure out who makes sense to listen to.

I have seen some BBS's actually Z ;-)

Back in the early days when I first had Internet (I was actually like 7-10 I think), it was how I got baseball scores, and discussed how to hack IRC ;-)

My father was the head of Information Tech. at a Secondary school, so we had dialup access through Research Machines (UK). First you had to dial the school, then from the school server dial RM, and when you hung up, if you forgot to hang up the first connection before doing your own, the school got a huge phone bill ;-)

Ah the early days before even T1's and everything was dialup. Email and news took 3/4 days. I've been on the net since 1979 when uucp was the protocol, none of this TCP/IP stuff.

Of course no-one believes this since they think the net was invented by Al Gore around 1996.

LOL

I can't go back quite that far, though I did study examples of early systems as part of my degree.

The Al Gore thing is a misinterpretation of a quote, IIRC.
I would like to say I was online in 1979, but I was just a sparkle in my father's eyes @ the time.

There was an internet in 79? How long before porn followed? Or did it follow porn? I heard everything was in text. Is that true?
