Did you have a stop loss limit? I know this not help long term, but it is good emotionally I think.

I would find it easier putting a win/loss amount out before starting, especially VP. It may take longer to get into the long run, but over time, I think it stops the emotional drain, and perhaps TILT!

Well, there really should be no such things as TILT if your playing a 100%+EV machine, as you will know. I reckon you are referring to going on TILT in some other gaming activity after going on a bad luck streak on a +EV game.

I believe that losing on a +EV machine for extended hours could LEAD ONE TO POSSIBLY MAKING ERRORS REGARDING STRATEGY they normally would'nt............because one is frustrated from losing, tired, etc., etc.

Some players have a tendency to play faster when losing to try and make up for feeling bad.

I personally always try to keep saying to myself that I am making money on paper and try not to let it bother me........easier said then done, even for the best of professional video poker players.

Good point Fish.

Yea, I agree with all said.

I guess the tilt I am speaking of is counting cards. Can't really go on tilt on VP, cause if you are playing a 100+% EV game, then the more you play the better off you are.:thumbsup2:

For an emotional stand point, I still like to limit my losses and wins for that matter on VP. If anything, keep a time limit. EX. I am playing for 3 hours, win or lose. If you play beyond your threshold mistakes could decrease your advantage.

Same thing with middling.....I never worry about losing the vig because I know I got the value I want and it all works out in the long run.

Precisely, once bets are placed with positive +EV, prepare for accounting/bookkeeping activities and let the chips fall where they may.
