line move Question please

the line of KU went up from 9-9.5 and the ML stayed the same,,, -500

Im just curious as to how or why the ML doesnt adjust with it,,,, is the ML typically independant of the line?

thats a good question tater....as i was wondering that the other day myself, on a game, where the line went from +1 to +2, and even +2.5 in some places, yet moneyline barely moved.....

Guess its just a case by case basis, depending on their exposure....

Have noticed before 2 teams getting the same points in 2 seperate games, and one team will be (+156) and the other is (+165), and the pointspreads are the same......

good question for discussion though..

Moneylines are independant once the line goes up, especially at somewhere like Pinny that moves on action... if they've got/getting equal action they'll leave it, but if they have action one way, then they're gonna move to try and balance it up

Ive been getting into some ML parlays in CBB,,,, so Ive been studying the ml on a daily basis,,, and yes Ive noticed the same the ML will typically move independant of the Line,,,,, Im trying to use the MLs as a Gauge of sharp value, there is a number attached to all lines,,
-1 ML would prob be -115
-2 ML would prob be -122

there are moments when with only an extra 10 cents you can Score with a -3 game with a -125 VIG on the ATS,,,, Ive found that ML at -135!! for a DIME MORE,,,

anyway,, I need to establish a Stable number that is used by most per a stable line,,,,

should be interesting to watch and study,,,

Keep in mind that limits on sides and moneylines are normally different, so a limit bet on the moneyline will make it move differently then the same amount bet on the side.
