Who else here will be around during hoop mania?

Where are you planning to watch March Madness?

Would like to hear from RX Vegas locals of spots to hang away from strip casinos.

I havent booked a room yet. Am going to do that tonight/tomorrow. Just finished booking the flight.

What type of rates does IP have? Any chance of room comp for 25-50 bj and dime bettor in hoops?

I know REDEYE is staying at IP and was planning to hang out with him and his fellow sharp KERMIT during evening games.

IP ideally located, I stayed there several years ago.

Our rates are generally a lot cheaper than surrounding hotels, although anywhere is going to be significantly higher than a normal weekend.
Best bet is to call a host and find out availability and comp values, that way you know what to expect.

13th to 20th at Ip Yes they will reduce your rate or comp if you play there at IP. Good BJ tables their too with impersonator singers. Watch tournament at Mirage , Barbary Coast, Flamingo, sometimes Harrahs, wherever I get good vibes. Have to be close enough to go upstairs to make SHARP plays on :modemman:

Go up to your room right before the halftimes and make your plays. Then go back out and watch 2nd half. Thats the way I've been doing it for years. Elevators at Ip and falmingo are pretty close to sportsbook so its not that much of a inconveince

Woof, if you don't mind being off strip the South Coast just opened on Las Vegas Boulevard South...here the rooms are huge with Plasmas and the rates are good. Orleans is usually pretty cheap...both are close taxi rides. Green Valley Ranch is a ways away and is definitely not cheap.

Also someone said it above, get in touch with a casino host BEFORE coming to Vegas, you can probably get hooked up if you are dropping dimes on sports....

Can't beat the location of IP though, right in the thick of it.

Taxi ride from Orleans is free as all one has to do is take the free bus ride from Orleans to Barbary Coast. However the taxi ride from South Coast will not be cheap as this Casino is nice but is a long ride to the 4 corners area which is Bally's, Bellagio, Barbary Coast and Caesars. If you don't spend at least $ 30... I would be surprised and that,s not counting the toke ! Lot better idea to stay at Imp. Palace but way too late to get good rate there. We have booked for $ 69 and $99 on weekends but don't expect those rates this late !

Best place away from the Strip is the LV Hilton; lots of seats and good video poker. You will need to show up early to get a seat though.

Looking forward to seeing you also but We sometimes migrate to other books even when We stay at IP because IP Sportsbook isn,t the best for viewing. We always have friends come here every year from Portland also. Lots of fun every year during march madness !
