I think I would assuming I could get 8k, or so for it. My realistic assessment is I would have little chance of finishing in the final 200 or whatever number of places out of the 6,000 or so that get paid.

I'm a fairly average Hold-em player with very little experience at no limit= dead money. I'd be out-classed, and I know it ! This isn't a hand of blackjack which you have a near 50% chance of winning, and can play correctly yourself, or get anyone of many people to advise you should you lack BJ knowledge.

That's a good question. If I won, I for sure would sell it because I have no talent in poker. I actually know people who have gotten to the final table, so it can be done. You simply have to be experienced, and talented. If you possess those two attributes, why not take the shot at 10 mil? If it was me, i would sell mine for 8k.

If i was in vegas during the WSOP i would probably sell my seat and play in couple of the smaller buy-in tournaments that aren't as much of a crapshoot.

no way. i would walk in with my gray skybook t-shirt on and go right up to phil hellmuth and say "you are going down, badger boy". then i would start struting around like mick jagger during the 1980's tattoo you tour.

illini, jeffksu, kermit & kiss1 would all be in the crowd and every time i won a hand i would look back and they would scream out "blue blue blue, r/x r/x r/x!".

after each session, i would get on here and post about which players smelled bad, who seemed gay, what people ate at dinner.

then, after i won the whole thing, i would buy the r/x from marty. i would go through the active list of posters and kick out a few. the ones i liked, i would invite to my house for a bbq and boche ball tournament.

Not that I would expect to be on the invite list, but at your BBQ, would you hire an exterminator just in case the rodents returned to the garage?

I would be just like you in this department. Have lots of No-Limit play but some dont realize that you are up against the World's TOP players. Besides this year there will be 10000 in that thing, maybe more, probably more. Have wager with friend that it will exceed 10000 this year. This game caught on once ESPN started the on the TV. I have Never seen so many that think they can play now !

Blue, if Nova or UNC win the tournament you won't need the free entry!

I'd bet under 10,000 entries, poker fad has peaked, IMO. I see 8,000 max. Good luck with the bet.

Poker fad may have peaked in Las Vegas as that stroy here on the ole Rx said. But across Oklahoma, Texas, and Az it grows daily. As most wagers time will tell. I still Like my bet, and thanks for the good luck wish.

Well hundreds supposedly did that last year. Harrahs wouldn't let anyone buy into the tournament with someone else's money so many entrants were given the 10 dimes by the site they won the entry on and then just pocketed the money. The big sites who gave away hundreds of seats couldn't keep track of everyone and they just quietly walked away with the buy-in cash. Can't blame them, they were definitely facing an underlay situation.

Guys, why would you sell it for $8000???

You would SURELY get someone to pay you at least $9500. Hell I am going to pony up the $10,000 cash this year and if someone wants to me there and sell me the seat for less, then every ccent saved helps!!

No reason to sell it for $8000 when you can get alot more at the event

Hellmuth is a camera magnet. You have to understand also these stars dont play a couple times a year. They play in at least 50 tournaments year round.
