Skybook better than Pinnacle?

I just opened an account at Skybook and it seems like the 1/2 point you get makes this a better deal than Pinnacle, generally speaking. I always thought Pinnacle was the best. Am I missing something here?

The free half point is nice, but I wouldn't go that far.

Fortunately you can have an account at both, no need to choose one over the other.

max bet $300, lines don't come out till Noon, usually slant the juice on sharp side, a lot of times can get just as good of # on pinny dropdown.

Still skybook not bad to have, but not nearly as good as pinny.

It's no contest, Skybook is not in the same league as Pinnacle.

It is still best to have an account at both places. Here are a few reasons I can think of:

1. Skybook posts lines later than Pinnacle. So by the time Skybook has lines up, you may have already missed out on a half point move (or more).

2. The half point is not always worth what it seems. It is not really worth an extra -110. More like -106. And in some cases where an NCAAB line is already high like -16 1/2, getting it at -16 doesn't mean a whole lot.

3. Wager limit on the free half point at Skybook is only $300. Pinnacle has higher limits.

4. Skybook adjusts juice on its number quite a bit sometimes. Easily sometimes -116/+104, etc. This can sometimes work out to your favor, but it basically forces you into buying a half point on the juiced up side sometimes. Pinnacle does this also, but with only -105 juice the comebacks have less of a differential.

I am not knocking Skybook here, but just saying do not limit yourself to only them. Using both places together, you will generally find a good line (quite frequently, the best line on the board for your bet) at one or the other.

Worth having... yes Pretty much only for hoops sides. Good to use them a bit for contests here. There's a lot of competition to the half-point with -105 at Trojan,Mansion, Pinny, Nojuice, and others. I'll always take a half for 5 cents more juice, since it's worth closer to 7 cents, but Skybook is not a major out for me.

Outstanding post.

Skybook may be good, but it's no Pinnacle.

Skybook has been very generous with regulars here at the Rx.

In my opinion that's good enough to give them some play.
