I hate to say it but, Gonzaga fits the mold, again!

I thought this may be the year that the Zags could have went deep (they still could) they played a much tougher early schedule over in Maui, however, once again the #5 Zags have been getting by just barely, almost nightly!

And what the heck were they celebrating last night? They beat LMU by one freaking point, on their home floor...it will also be interesting to see if the NCAA rewards the Zags with a number 2 seed, historically they end up lower than their ranking, probably a #3 seed.

Illinois is PRIME to make a run to the final 4 again, not going out early...

Gonzaga on the other hand...

WHY???

This is not NEAR the ILLINI team of last year.............this is a 3RD PLACE Big Ten team.

I cant believe how overrated this team is, especially here on TheRX.

Iowa will be one and done.

Illinois, on the other hand, will go to at least the sweet 16.

We're costing ourselves points and money via the Linemakers that read the Rx, but..

Tennessee
Gonzaga
LSU
GW

Just watch what these four's final win tally is!

Illinois is the most overrated team on the Rx. I love the guys up north but come on this team is nothing special...unlike last years very solid team.

Michigan State blows, I cannot believe how this team did not get better as the year went on! Not typical of his squads. Wisconsin is piss poor, they pass the ball around for 35 seconds than don't even get off a shot, they never get to the foul line, Indiana is mediocre at best, Purdue couldn't win the MEAC, what has happened to this conferene? None of these traditional Big Ten teams improved as the season progressed, poor coaching.

I thought that a couple of weeks ago, but the two road wins at Minn and MSU might sway me.

I'll chime in with anyone from the SEC and Big 12. West Virginia is a possibility too as they are a poor rebounding team.

Again, why?

These are two NON-TOP 30 teams in the country.

NO BIG TEN team is a LEGIT TOP FIFTEEN team in the country!!!

Having said that, ANY BIG TEN team that makes it to the SWEET SIXTEEN will be overacheiving in the BIG DANCE................PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

I will be shocked to see Gonzaga get a #1, probably a #3.

they would probably be just a 2-4 point favorite in their second game.

i havent seen ohio state play but have watched illinois a lot. they are played their best ball right now & playing great defense but, they have to potential to go for 6 minutes at a time without scoring. that could kill them in a game with good shooters.
