Never visited there on my trips to Vegas. Staying there this time. Enjoy playing video poker at the bar and was wondering if they have that there. I normally stay at the Golden Nugget and all of their bars have the video poker. In my experience the video poker machines at the bar seem to pay a little better then the other ones. Thanks for any info!

They do have VP at several bars at the MGM. In most casinos, however, the machines at the bar don't pay as well as numerous others on the floor. Last time I was at the MGM the best I saw both at the bar and on the floor was 7/5 Bonus Poker (98% with perfect strategy) unless you want to go up to $1 machines, in which case there are some 9/6 Jacks or Better (99.5% w/ perfect strategy) on the floor but not at the bars.

I don't think you'll find a bar in the state of Nevada that doesn't have video poker. By the way, is that Blaine, MN? Home of Bradley's Patrick O'Bryant? Just wondering.

Wrong, Illini, there are some, I recall one joint on Fremont street from years ago without it, also venture to Boulder City !

Yes it is Blaine,MN. O'Bryant was quite a player for Blaine High School. I never attended any games but would read about him in the MPLS Star Tribune.

Thanks Belch One, I will look for the 9/6 Jacks or better and read up on the best strategy.

The kid has unbelieveable potential. Lots of NBA scouts at Bradley games.

You'll be impressed with the MGM-it's like a city under one roof. I love the place, but damn it's a zoo.

Not that there is anything wrong with Bradley, but how did he escape getting taken by one of the BIG schools?

yes, MGM is very big. when you have a couple of hours to kill, just park in the parking garage and walk to the sports book. it really takes a couple of hours to walk to the book from the garage. ( so it seems ).

if you do park in the garage REMEMBER where you parked your car. the first few years after they opened anytime i parked there which was often it was a lock to see people wandering around looking for their cars.

MGM is beautiful but MUCH TOO BIG for me. I got lost one too many times to have enjoyed the full experience.
Took me 20-30 mins to find the 8 pools they have (2 of them being nudies so the walk might be worth it to some of you:missingte )
ENJOY, one way or another:toast:
