Suggestion for mods- Get rid of extras forum (health, financial,etc....)

nobody wants to post there(keep rubber room).

The traffic in the offshore forum is 20x better. If someone takes the time to post, I'm sure they want it read. It wouldn't be much more topic wise than what is already in there plus some of the stuff, if posted in the offshore forum would cause for good debate/discussion but instead it is THROWN into forum wasteland in the extras section, never to be really addressed.

Off Topics are what make the RX unique and like a big sports bar. What guy doesn't want to talk health and financial topics. I vote ditch them (to be punished this will probably end up in one of those forums):howdy:

It's always a tough call....some like the OT stuff in here, some hate it. Definite balancing act.

We did that before!

The traffic here is too big for what you suggest. People need a place to discuss these things without having to worry about is it shoved onto page 2 before I have a chance to reply.

I agree, If they are kept transfer all Health and Finacial threads to the appropriate forum after they go to say page 3 in the OFFSHORE, thus giving them page 1 viewing for a longer duration in the slower forums.

On a side-note I'm glad they keep politics out of the offshore. Can anyone see any sports getting big enough to merit their own forum in the future??

one idea that has been tossed around is a GENERAL, OFF TOPIC forum where the HEALTH, ENTERTAINMENT, FINANCE would all be lumped together...

I think this is a good idea, sometimes a good topic is lost if it is moved too quickly, it's always a tough call though, certain specialty topics would end up being great OS threads, that don't get much interest in their specific forum...other topics are so obscure they deserve to go right to those forums.

Or maybe have a mod take charge of the fringe rooms from time to time. If a particular mod's specialty is football, say hey for the month of March take care of the Finance and Health room, there is no foots. Maybe some sort of odd weird contests in those rooms to get traffic, just some ideas.

Or a thread in the OFFshore every so often check out the Finace room for such and such etc.

I'd like to see a Vegas/table games section myself.

Or maybe rename the Offshore as newbiews have no clue that it is really just hodge podge of EVERYTHING.

But I've seen too many don't move this thread I will get no responses in the Health or Finance forum lately.
If posters use the new posts feature you can see all new threads at any forum as well, try that once in a while and you may get to visit another forum here once in a while.
