PTI just reported this. This would be shocking, would the Jets still trade for Ramsey then? How far would VY fall? What will Miami do for a QB?

As a Saints fan this is awesome news!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now we can draft A.J Hawk and leave the Matt Leinart bust to some other team.

So, this means Leinart will be reunited with Chow in Tennessee, and VY to the Jets???

I can't figure out why he would want to play for the Saints...considering the choices out there.

I didnt realize that Brees was already washed up...

Knew that Fujita guy was, but Brees was a news flash, I thought he had a couple good years left in him ....

Now that they got a QB, I'd try to trade down and get multiple picks to fill multiple needs, but you're right, you never know about the Saints

Can you tell the Chargers paid a bundle for Rivers?

I hope this shit works out OK for the Bolts.

Chargers gave Brees one year to prove he was worth keeping over Rivers...the schedule was harder, you can't blame them though.

SD will regret this move ...

Brees is a stud and IT HAS NOTHING to do with the fact I live in Austin so dont go that route ...

Brees blows out in his knee in high school and becomes Class 5A POY in Texas ... goes to Purdue cause questions about his arm strength .... drops to 2nd rd of draft as he is not the "desired height" and other crap along those lines

The kid throws a very catchable pass ... he is coming into his prime w/a deft chip on his shoulder to show the Chargers how bad they screwed up .. this is not a career threatening injury and this is simply a great pickup for the Saints in picking up a kid who has become one of the Top half dozen qbs in the game today

Young goes to the Jets ... wow, NO PRESSURE THERE!!!

Congrats to Saint Fans as Brees is a classy kid who is a winner and a leader and well worth the committement Saints mgmt made today

Brees is only 27 and in my mind the most promising quarterback not named Manning. 10 million a year buys an awful lot of abandoned property in the New Orleans area.
