OT: The Sopranos New 6th Season Commentary (caution if you have not seen episode one)

Tonight starts the final season. 20episodes

To be broken up into 12 this year & then the remaining 8 are scheduled to air starting January 2007.

How will it all end. Let's start building to that climax tonight.

A big question in my mind. Is Adriana really dead? I know it appeard that Sylvio pumped two shots into her back as she scrambled away in the woods. Personally I think it would be kind of a cheap trick by the writers if for some reason (sex or something) that Syl didn't really kill her and she turns up one of these episodes.

I think she's done, Wil. She had signed on to another series, so it was convenient to axe her. Plus, it opens some possibilities for Chrissy to have a new chick, which could stir things up a little.

What makes me have doubts is whenever a major character is killed they always show proof (body). Big P.ussy chained in the bag getting dumped off the boat, Tony B. lying dead shot in the head outside the cabin, Ralph Cifarreto getting hacked up, Richie Aprile at the butchershop getting turned into sausage, but for Aidriana nothing...

on the coming year's previews it looks like Tony and Christopher talking through a jail window with the phone on both sides. One of them ends up in the pokey - then it mentions something about loyalties shifting

This better be good after a 2 year wait - they need to WOW us to get sucked back in - hell I've forgotten half of it

They have to open tonight with Johnny Sack in the can after ending season 5 with the FBI snow bank arrest that had Tony hoofing it thru the woods back to his house. We might se some footage of Christopher disposing of Tony B's corpse..

If Syl starts acting squirrely right away it might be a clue to the status of Aidriana.

What nastiness will Phil Leopartardo perpertrate tonight??

I'm sure she will still appear in a dream or something....Uncle Junior was on the morning news show today saying he takes the show like regular life one day at a time, hoping he is around, and doesn't get wacked...he went on to say he wished the show would run til 2020.

Another question, how much time (on the actual show) will suppose to have elapsed, I assume not too much, it would be difficult for the story to fit if this was suppose to be almost two years later.

I know AJ is supposed to have a job at a video store, which he eventually gets fired from(LOL) .
