There is a $300.00 entry fee to participate in the season long 'Boys of Summer' MLB contest :103631605

www.BetJamaica.com has generously offered to sponsor the season long MLB contest, and will be kicking in $500.00 per month in prizes!

Also will be adding 20% to the pot at the end of the year, NO ROLLOVER ON END OF YEAR WINNINGS!

* Example, we get 25 players at 300 = $7,500 pot , Bet Jamaica will be adding $1,500 to the winners (no rollover on winnings)

To enter this contest you will need a Bet Jamaica acct, as they will be holding the $300.00 entry fee .

This contest will be ran similarly to the Journeyman NFL Pick 4 contest, lines will be posted overnight, sides and totals will be used.

*All selections will count to win or risk 1 unit, example if the line was (Yankees -160/Boston +150) If you selected NYY you are risking NYY -160 to win 100 , if you selected Boston you would be risking 100 to win 150, very simple concept. Totals will also be allowed.

You can play up to 3 PLAYS PER DAY, your 3 top plays!

To sign up , say IN in this thread and contact Bet Jamaica and have them set the entry fee aside.

Is the 45 and 270 per month/year a max as well...or just a minimum?

I can not do this Journeyman. I said that 4 times in previous post alreardy.

There should not be a monthly minimuim requirement. 2 or 3 other poster said the same thing. I will be gone for the entire month of June without computer access.
I guess im disqualified before even starting.
Also with the no more than 3 picks per day means that you cant go 2 consecutive weeks without making picks.

There are people in this world who have things to do this summer.

This rule will have to be modified.

That will be the max.... the reason we have to have an exact amount ,Bet Jamaica is throwing in an extra $500.00 per month in prizes.

$3000.00 (total) in additional monthly prizes and 20% to the year end pot.

I still think there is some confusion on how many picks you have to make!

Chop, I know you and a couple others were concerned with this, this is very hard to coordinate with the book, and the players needs, the book has generously decided to offer these extra prizes.

I will try and modify the minimum requirement, and work around that , this is not easy though...if we have monthly prizes we have to have monthly guidelines ....

Is it 45 per month or not? I dont give a damm about monthly prizes. I think its nice of Betjam to give out monthly prizes all I care about is the yearly prize.

I will be more than happy to decline all monthly prizes as long as a monthly min or max is not imposed on me.

If I have pick 45 games every month or have to be restricted to 3 plays or less daily then my scedule and im sure many others will not allow me in this contest.

45 game min rule must be eliminated.

Give me a yearly min and a yearly max number of plays and by the end of the season I will get there.

3 plays per day max is going to have to be the rule.

You could still make up tp 90 plays per month the other 5 months...which would be plenty of time.

How about this Journeyman?

In order to qualify for the monthly prize you must have at least 45 picks.

I have no problem with that for a monthly prize. Just dont eliminate me for the yearly prize if I dont reach 45.

Give me a set number for the entire season. 200,300,500. Just give me a number and I will get there by the end of the season.

Chop, I believe that will work, just use the other 5 months , you can still make 90 plays per month...you would still be eligible the other months, for the monthly prize.

Ok, that sounds fair to me. I understand the requirement for the monthly prize there is just no other way around it. I just did not want to get Dq for the yearly contest on the count of me not being able to make 45 plays in a given month.

One last question.

270 plays for the season.

Is that exactly 270 plays, or is that at least 270 plays?

I do not believe it is right to have to change/modify rules to accomodate some individuals. If one cannot participate with the rules as stated so be it. There will be more contests!

Dude, please give it rest. Are you even joining this contest or just butting your nose in something you have nothing to do with.

All I wanted to do was get some questions answered about the contest. Is that ok with you?

With that rule, coupled with possible postponed games, would be a good suggestion probably that contestants get their 45 games before the final couple days of the month.
