Do the kids today look at the '05 version of this movie the same that those of us in our 30's/40's look at the original?

I mean the original is an obvious classic, but I was also in Little League at the time. So, is it possible that kids of that age today look at the new version as a good movie?

I just saw the new version, and its just god awful.

I am getting old.

doubt it

never saw the new movie because i sense/knew it would be a P.O.S. - same reason i didn't go see the newest "Longest Yard" movie because i knew there was NO WAY it would be anywhere as good as the original

Buttermaker drinking beer in the car while driving with the kids. Never see things like that today.

I liked the idea in the new one of getting the strip joint to sponsor the team. There were a few good laughs in it also. It wasn't a classic remake but good for what it was.

that was the thing about tatum o'neil...like most chicks, she digs the long ball. even at age 12 i knew i had no shot...you see, i am a gap hitter. singles and doubles...that's it. i played all thru little league and high school and hit only one homerun the whole time. decent average but, no homerun power.
