I think there is much more interest in MLB World Wide after this event. People in other countries will watch MLB for their players from the Classic. Great for marketing MLB globally. Plus many players from other countries getting exposure to MLB scouts etc. from this.

Agreed, I didn't think I'd get into it but I find myself watching every night.

I think its very good for the game, I wish the format would have been different ( would last longer ) but it's hard with so much at stake with injuries and regular season so close to have players playing a long tourney.

There's been some very good games in the WBC. 2-1 Venezuela/Dominican game last night was a gem, great pitching so far.

I'm all for it, but the casualty is some very ragged MLB preseason games featuring A ball lineups.
