The House Financial Services Committee this morning approved the Leach bill with little fanfare. Approval came on a simple voice vote, so individual members were not required to record an "aye" or "ney" vote. The whole process took less than 10 mins.

The next step will be the scheduling of a vote by the entire House of Representatives. It's possible that vote could take place before the Easter recess that begins April 10.

Full disclosure: My boss is a member of the committee and is OPPOSED to the Leach bill.

...that's not full disclosure...full disclosure would be if you told us who your boss was!

if i were to discuss the merits of Ohio State University basketball, there obviously would be a BIG problem

It means that in 3 months time you'll lose one more civil liberty. I don't think you should worry. By now, you should be accustomed to it.
