Simple Reason Wisconsin (1-8 Conf Road) And Air Force Gets In And Not Teams Like Florida St....

Reason 1 : Ncaa Wants To Mix In Different Styles (slow Down White Boy Basketball) Into The Mix To Promote More Interest Via Office Bracket Pools, From Workers Who Dont Keep Up With The Season Hardy At All , Until Its Time For The Ol' Office Bracket Pool

Reason 2 : John Q Public Somewhere In Illinois Will More Likely To Bet On These Teams And Games Than A Florida St.

Ncaa Doesnt Want To Make It Look Obvious To Him That The South Produces The Best Athletes/teams, Leaves The Illusion That A Wisconsin Is Just As Bad Ass As A Nc State Or Florida

omg, this crap again. If you are going to bash teams, get it right, this is getting old.

Wisconsin won 2 games on the road in the Big Ten where they had a 9-7 record. They also beat Marquette in the preseason and beat UNCW(RPI 28) and played at Wake Forest and at Pittsburgh during the preseason. They have wins over Ohio St, Iowa, Michigan St, Indiana and an RPI of 23 with a SOS of 7. They have 6 top 50 wins as many as Memphis, more than Tennessee, UCLA, Gonzaga, UNC, LSU, Oklahoma, Kansas, Boston College.

Wisconsin isn't mentioned in that article either.

Yeah....I hear Wisconsin and Iowa and Indiana are first stop states on the collegiate athletic recruiting trail
:puppy:

To be nice though I think Michigan St is your best team in the Big 10. Illinois is good. Other than that I dont give much credence to Ohio St. I think theyve been lucky and are way overrated. Cant rebound that good.
I like Davidson a lot in that game, think Davidson will win outright. Remember this.

Could really care less about your opinions on my state, I'm just here to give the facts, which I did.

I think that saying Indiana, Iowa, Illinois arent big recruiting meccas for all of MAJOR college sports would be a factual statement... as say to Florida Georgia, Texas, etc.

There are many many sports, Indiana does fine in a lot of them, they have the best soccer program in the nation. Southern states are stronger in football/baseball for sure. How you stated your statement was surely a jab at my home state especially when you throw the dog in there.

yeah man no knock against Indiana. I took up for your guy when someone was talking about John Cougar Concentration Camp, as they put it, the other day.

Have met a couple cool girls there, little bit of a chip on their shoulder though.

For real though if youre a player, I really like Davidson tommorrow. Maybe give it a try..........Peace

The numbers required to produce a team that can win the title is much smaller in basketball than other sports. Ther are plenty of players to go around and geography has really nothing to do with in regards to "promotion" by the NCAA. Last time I looked FSU & UF has as many titles as Wisconsin. And NC State hasn't been badass since Derrick Whittenburg was dribbling for the Pack. I'm not defending Wisconsin, but they deserved to be in the tourney, and arguably has as much basketball tradition as FSU and UF.

The NCAA may be corrupt, and the south as a whole may produce better atheletes. But they don't all attend southern schools. I doubt very seriously that the NCAA is collectively intelligent enough to understand what "John Q" is going to do, much less project a specific profit margin by putting in certain teams based on the racial make up of the teams. John Q will bet on their alma mater, local team, or the advice of some "expert" more so than "white boy slow down ball"..

Ludicrous.
