Hey everyone,
<o> </o>
I’ve been reading various posts for few years now, and I thought I could contribute to this forum.
<o> </o>
For tonight’s game between <st1:country-region w:st="on">Korea</st1:country-region> and <st1:country-region w:st="on">Japan</st1:country-region>, I think <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Korea</st1lace></st1:country-region> +1.5 is a great bet.
<o> </o>
The Korean team is playing their best ball and they face the Japanese team, who the Korean team already beat in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Japan</st1lace></st1:country-region>. In that game, (which I watched in person in <st1:country-region w:st="on">Japan</st1:country-region>), the atmosphere was very hostile for the Korean team as the two teams played in <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Japan</st1lace></st1:country-region>’s premier ball park. With about 30,000 fans cheering for <st1lace w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Japan</st1:country-region></st1lace>, the Korean team won in a come-from-behind win.
<o> </o>
Ichiro Suzuki’s statement, where he said something like “We should beat the Korean team to the point where the Koreans won’t even be able to dream of challenging <st1:country-region w:st="on">Japan</st1:country-region>, for next 30 years,” served as a catalyst for the Korean team’s victory over <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Japan</st1lace></st1:country-region>. And, I expect nothing less from the Korean team again.
<o> </o>
Here are my reasons why:
<o> </o>
Even if the Koreans do lose the game, I think the margin of loss will be less than 2 runs. The Korean team will give their best effort, regardless of whether they’re a lock for a place in the semi finals.
<o> </o>
This is just some of the factors. I might be wrong, and if so, I apologize in advance.
<o> </o>
These are my bets.
<o> </o>
<st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Korea</st1lace></st1:country-region> +1.5 --- 3 units
Korea ML +190 --- 1.5 units
Under 7.5 --- 0.5 unit (just because both teams have the lowest ERA so far)
please let me know what you guys think..:howdy:

Here are my reasons why:
<o> </o>
- The Korean people hate the Japanese people more than any other race in the world. For every international sporting event, Koreans judge the Korean team’s performance on whether the Koreans did better than the Japanese or not. As much as the Japanese baseball might be closer to MLB than the Korean baseball, this Korean team is playing to win.
- Based on the first reason, I expect the Korean team to start their best players. Many of the Korean press have stated that the Korean team manager has restricted the pitch count for his best pitchers, hoping to use all the firepower for their game against <st1:country-region w:st="on"><st1lace w:st="on">Japan</st1lace></st1:country-region>. I can assure you that the Korean team is treating this game as if this was their super bowl. On the other hand, the Japanese aren’t too excited or motivated to beat the Korean team.
- The atmosphere at <st1:City w:st="on">Anaheim</st1:City> should be as if the game’s being held in <st1lace w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Korea</st1:country-region></st1lace>. The thousands of Korean Americans residing in southern <st1lace w:st="on"><st1:State w:st="on">California</st1:State></st1lace> will attend this game, outnumbering the Japanese presence at the game.
- Korean team is playing their best ball, and many of the Korean players have either played in <st1lace w:st="on"><st1:country-region w:st="on">Japan</st1:country-region></st1lace> or have faced the same Japanese players through their annual rivalry game.
Even if the Koreans do lose the game, I think the margin of loss will be less than 2 runs. The Korean team will give their best effort, regardless of whether they’re a lock for a place in the semi finals.
