How could Fed Ex or WU be stopped?

do not see how they can stop me from sending money to my friend in panama and continue to allow my good friend Antonio (legal immagrant) to send money to his family...

how could they tell the difference?

Ive used WU many times and never once had the slightest problem, of course im good friends with the owner of the business.. He has never once told me of any problem, with anyone...

90% of their WU business is, legal immagrants sending money home to family.. this is done weekly by lots of them..

the bill if passed will scare some of you into quitting, it will get if off the airwaves and out of their faces but it cannot be enforced without going to great lengths, using a lot of manpower and resources... not going to happen..

I amoung others have been useing Fed Ex and the Overnight Mail at the Post Office for many many years anyway. I for one dont see how in this world they could ever check ALL of those parcels that come and go daily.

As mentioned before you and i have many Locals at our desposal and if this does in fact pass, which it probably wont, it would not effect us that much anyway.

Insiders your correct, in what you said.

what they want to do is to scare alot of people into quitting and they wont the ads on television and radio stopped, its a rub in their faces... they will succeed in their plans to scare alot into quitting..

can you imagine them going thru every overnight or fedex package and see, if a check is in there.. and if the sites are blocked, phone lines are still open..

Im telling you no one should give this much of a second thought, its much ado about nothing... at least it is for me...

what could be stopped are the bank drafts..

The only problem is the check that I received from the sportsbook. I remember before neteller that when I received checks from out of the country my bank gave me a hard time depositing it. I had to go through a big process because my bank was suspicious about where it came from

WU has blocked some of our posters already...SSI you make a good point about sending money via Fed Ex, that would be very tough to stop.

Why couldn't the sportsbook have a bank account in canada? I really don't know the answer to this question, if you send a money to the book via Fed Ex and receive a check drawn on a canadian bank? where is that illegal?

Journey, ive heard them say that but i dont see how that happens... if you wanted to, you could just give a mexican the money and go with him to send it for you.. i see them sending money all the time and i mean all the time, without ever a problem,,,,,, and they are sending it to an individual, just like we do, on the deposits.. cant be stopped..

but they will do is inconvenience you, the bank drafts and neteller transactions could be stopped..

all you need is an 800 number to call on the good old phone and WU or Fed Ex and the game continues.. take away the computer and bank, wont do it. and door to door arrests arent going to happen..

I still am a CASH type person. I have probably sent a .5 million dollars CASH through the Fed EX and Overnight Mail at the Post Office in the last 25 years and NEVER lost a quarter.
Knew some folks in LV that did long ago, but later found it.

Those people who still use "checks" are only sitting themselves up for hard fall one of these days as the Papertrail only continues that way.
Been there done that long ago. But that was then and this is now !

Insiders, you and i know these things.. what they are going to try and take away are the instant things, the conveniences..

i honestly thought gambling on the internet was illegal but i did it anyway. they cant and wont enforce it... they just need it in writing... prostitution is illegal in most states, so is driving over 55mph or 65mph but it still happens and so will this.. and they are not going to open every peice of mail and look at it.. this is simply not going to happen..

you guys just need to think about -- having to use other methods and may have to wait a day or two to play...

its the instant things, that may be stopped but so what.. send em cash or check in the mail or fedex, wait a couple of days.. call them on their 800 number and place your bets.. simple as that..

I asked Brock Landers this question, (according to him,he was shut down by WU) but WU still takes up to 999.00 without ID, so I'm not sure how he's really been shut out.

Journey, i guarantee you that i can walk into the WU office today and send what i want.. i do think they get my drivers license number..

but Journey think about this... i have alot of mexican friends, guys who work in the area... they send money all the time, to their parents, their wives, their uncles.. do you think WU is going to stop doing this business. because there is no difference.. i may have to send money to my good mexican friends family.. can i not do this?

and FedEx is out of the question..

I never sent under 1000 because then i would have to pay the fees myself, which are enormous...

Other than that, yes i was blacklisted, and are many more people..

I know many books who pick up fees still...I don't know what you mean pick up the fees? If you send 999 and the fee is say 75 or whatever it is, the book adds 75 to your acct.

so you send them $900 and it cost $65.. your account balance is $965..

I know this, this is what I was telling him, many books pick up fees over 300.

Just saying, the books i used, Pinnacle most especially, required the amount to be 1000 before they picked up fees..

AND they required the transaction to be in the name of the account holder..

Shoot man i still call in Every wager weather it be Local of Offshore!
I guess i am from the old school, buts thats how i learned and thats just my way. You are "dead right" about scareing some of the youngsters off the internet. I myself cant see what the Big Deal is anyway as its really tuff to pick up the phone and call and make a wager.
Maybe some are not wagering enough to be able to use the telephone as most offshore joints only take from 50 and up over the phone?

they are trying to get the conveniences, so lots of guys will say, "its not worth the effort to bet my $10"..

and i want to address this issue about fees.... this has always bothered me, i dont give a crap about paying $50 to collect $999.. if i want the money... that matters little to me...

have you guys not ever traded stocks or commodities and paid brokerage fees.. well i have and guess what, they are a part of doing business.. sure we look for the cheaper methods but i also view it, as part of my business cost..
