I am burned out from the daily grind of betting baskets. After the tournament is over i may jump back into betting bases, but don't know which route to go.

Here is my plan (feel free to add some input): 12k offshore at 12 books. Bet around $250 a side scalping bases with software looking for 5 cent scalps, minimum. Will there be enough opps, can I make 1k a month($250 a week) putting in an hour or so a day. Tried this during hoops and didn't like it (not enough opps, IMO). Don't want to "sweat out baseball games", figured this is kind of like a "summer vacation/job" for me.

Has anyone just did this for bases. Any advice, total money, total books, how much a bet?

Need all the help I can. I have the software to make this happen but wondering if it is worth it.

Baseball time is the time to take off from arbitrage..I wont spend much time after the NBA ends until football begins.

Have to take positions in baseball and be able to predict and anticipate line movement, plus get other bets down in +EV situations - i.e. runlines / alternate runlines imo

I have been scalping bases for about 10 years and I really have never even used an offshore spot and especially not any software (i'd be interested in seeing what that is all about.) My theory is really not get caught up on betting both sides of the game but try to put the bookmaker in the postion where he is getting booked. For ex. if the yankees are -220 across the board at most shops and one place has them -240, then i just take the dog +220 since i figure that is what most books are taking as well. Also if a total is 9over -140 across the board lots of locals just deal it 9over. Obviously I'd go over 9.5 and lay the 20 for the same reasons. I don't even try to do anything like go under 10 +105 or anything like that. You have to have good outs to get numbers like that though. Last year I opened my first offshore account with Pinn. and used them a bit in my scalping but, i just could not get used to the internet betting thing. I plan on opening a couple more accounts this year probably at 5 dimes, cascade, Matchbook, Mansion and maybe a couple more. 12 outs you should get some good numbers but it seems like the offshores are allot tougher to outrun than the average joe local.

I suspect you'll probably find that you make most of your plays at a few key books rather than 12.
