They can beg ,lobby, plead on TV about how Maryland needs slot machines, the Govenor is big advocate of this rigged, crooked, game.

This is so hypocritical it's ridiculous.

JM, couple of years back, Dems were for them. Now that Erlich is Gov, they are against them. I lit Erlich up for 20 in an all star game many years ago. He played for Arbutus, and I was playing for Catonsville. Guy was a hell of an athlete.

Should be interesting when Erlich goes head to head with Balto Mayor O'Malley, for the governor race...they hate each other very obvious.

Where was that game held Judge? Do you remember the infamous 'dunk courts' ?

I remember doing the regional 'dribble and shoot' contest there, finished runner up.

Woody I could...this is about MD polticians wanting slot machines.

The politicians here are a joke, we get a 70% electric bill hike coming and all Governor Ehrlich is concerned with is slot machines, what a joke, the govt continues to screw us.

this will kill some people.

The public is for it, the governor is for it, the Senate is for it, the House is for it. Ooops, the House Speaker, a real Busch, is against it and has schemed a way to prevent it. Last year in a nice political ploy said fine, have your slots, then managed to get passed an unworkable bill that pissed people off. It really was a brilliant move, he can say hey we passed a slots bill and the Senate refused to allow it to go through. They passed a bill that assured key tracks wouldn't get slots and he created a nice opposition to HIS bill. When they went to committee, of course they couldn't work it out, but no matter he blames everyone else. The guy is against slots, but managed to pass a slots bill and takes credit for it. Don't try this at home people, politicians play a game most people just can't comprehend.
