Airline tickets high.

I've spent as little as $240 on roundtrip air and 3 nights hotel in the past going to Vegas, total! I checked prices for the weekend of the bash and they want $380 for the flight. It is the desert in August, are that many people going that time of year to justify those kind of prices?

Cheapest on Expedia and Southwest want over $700 for 2 round trip tix. Anybody know how to get em cheaper?

I have a frequant flyer card with America west so I'm trying to go through them. They are the cheapest I've found at $380 per ticket. I've gone through them and gotten $180 RT. I'd love to get something like that if at all possible.

It's no longer cheap to fly into Las Vegas and airline ticket prices are going up everywhere. When National Airlines was around you could ger $200RT.

Southwest has been raising prices. Their gas price hedges are expiring so their salad days of being the only airline making money are coming to an end. Not a day too early for the competition either.

Toledo service will be discontinued next month but for those who can use it there is service from South Bend IN ($198 RT plus tax).

I've flown with them from Bellingham WA and am doing so again. Take your own food and drink (I think it's $2 or $3 for a soda!).
