This is my first REAL betting session of March Madness and honestly it has me so mentally exhausted that I dont feel that I can turn a profit.

Before the games started I was very excited about the opportunities I would have betting wise, but now im just ready for it all to end.

It seems that all these games comes down to the last 2 minutes and it can go either way at that point. I dont know how many times I've turned to my girlfriend and told her "I have this team -3, at this point it could go either way lets hope im on the right side."

Just looking for some comments from some veterans.

Im personally ready for baseball to be in full season.

Thanks guys

Watching the games you got coin on elevates the stress 10 fold.:smoking:

The scoreboard at the top of the screen doesnt help when you got multiple bets going.:pucking:

Dont watch games you got coin on is the best advice I can give, it makes a difference.:grandmais

It is mentally (AND PHYSICALLY) exhausting to handicap and bet a lot of games or races. That is why you see a lot of people refer to it as a grind and advise people to take a long-term approach and use sound money management.

Of course you see people come on here and blindly follow people and boast about winning dimes on everything and all the touts with their locks of the year it makes it seem so easy.

So:
#1 at least half (probably a lot more but I have no way to measure it) of what you hear on-line is BS about how much people are winning.
#2 If you are too drained, or too stressed, cut your units down. It is a lot less stress to deal with a $50 swing where your $25 winner turns to a $25 loser on a banked in 3 pointer with .9 seconds left then if you had $500 on it.
#3 DO NOT watch games with your girlfriend. DON'T do it. Bad bad bad. Don't let her see what how much pain (or joy) kids playing basketball thousands of miles away can cause. It will cause problems with you somewhere down the line. If you have been married to her for a while and she doesn't care what you do that's one thing, but you said GF so quit watching the games you bet on with her!!

A SINGLE game is very, very little in the grand scheme of things..........no reason to sweat.

this isn't even close to what a typical saturday is like, now that is a total mess.

Best advice: shop till you drop for the best line on the game you like, after you find it shop again and make sure that is the best # you could get. Than tell yourself coming down the stretch of a tight game that you have the best available number and that is the best you can do, it seems I feel so much better about my plays knowing I have a better number than the average Joe's and when you win a close game you will realize that all that hard work shopping for the best # was worth it.

I don't make any single plays during march madness...have just seen too many bankrolls ruined over the course of a couple of weeks that took a whole season to build up...

Was very very selective this year starting with CFB. Told myself to stick with ONE conference and DO NOT stray!
Did that an had GREAT CFB season. Played very selective in the same conference dureing the CBB season and then had GREAT Tournament in that same conference.
Haveing nice run in the NCAA Tourney with Nuttin but DOGGIES !!
Have made ONE chalk bet, naturally LOST it !

I agree with ice, especially when their is a crossover like some Saturdays. Time to take off is the all star break in baseball. (-;

I would think that they would take off AFTER the tournament was over. There are just too many betting opportunities for a real Pro to take off on vacation! It's actually a pro bettors paradise having so many opportunites in such a short period of time.

All these games are great opportunities if you really know all the factors involved.

Neutral courts, games bet heavily by public.. Mismatches etc...

For sure no.

though the lines are pretty much anticipated throughout the tournament, there is a much larger recreational pool involved.

This definitely sides with a pro.
