Haven't seen them play much this year but was very impressed witht hem today. Very athletic, very well coached. Took smart shots, defended well, fought for every rebound. Hard to believe this team lost 9 games this year.

They are a horrendous shooting team at times...and when they don't hit consistently from the outside, they go through looooooong scoring droughts. Their D has been great all season, though.

Oh, and don't expect this kinda game from Hibbert again. Best game of his career...he's too soft. Next year, if the guy grows some testicles and gets tough, he'll dominate. But he's a big softie. Great game today, though.

Ku, I know you were busting a nut all over the place today. Old man JT threatened to beat Hibbert's ass if he didn't dominate today, that must've been it. Cuz you know JT3 didn't say shit.

They're a reliable scorer away from winning it all - right now when things get tight all they do is put it up and hope their monster pulls it down and puts it back.

Absolutely ridiculous that Georgetown was a 7, and Syracuse was a 5.

GT is better than Cuse but Cuse also played A&M without McNamara - they ain't winning many games without Gerry.

Syracuse should have been a 9, and Georgetown a 5.

I had no problem with Syracuse getting a 5...simply because you KNEW they were gonna get an undeserved high seed, making them the easiest upset pick of the first round. That was a mediocre, flawed team even WITH Gerry Mac in the tourney. Cincy would've been more competitve.

This was the exact same situation that Maryland found themselves in a few years ago, when they overcame a piss-poor ACC season to run the table in the ACC tourney, and got an undeservedly high 5 seed. Ironically, it was Syracuse who knocked 'em off that year. It seems like every year a team like this comes out of the fold...only to make zero noise in the tourney.

Gtown deserved higher, though...as did GW. 8 seed?!? In Duke's bracket, in NC? The committee would've done then more justice making them a 10 seed and playing Wichita St on Tennessee's side...although now we see how good Wich. St. is, but still, you see my point. Committee shit the bed this year...oh well, at least Packer has to shut the fuck up now.

That settles it...It's WED/DAY

Skins,

I have not seen much of Hibbert but from what I saw today I do agree. If this guy gets mad, and grows a pair he could be completely dominate. This guy was finger-rolling shots when he should have been throwing it down. He is definitely an inside presence and completely threw off Ohio State's shots. If this guy can get a mean streak in him and throw some shots down, there would be no stopping him.

You're right on point...Oldirtyku, who's a huge Hoyas fan, could go on for hours about the guy. He has all the talent in the world, and obviously you can't teach size. But he is very soft. If the guy ever got a mean streak in him, he'd be the most dominant big man in college basketball. He has all the tools, great touch around the basket, soft hands, and a pretty good bball IQ. But he refuses to mix it up inside. Ku jokes about how he needs to drop him off in Southwest D.C. for a day so he can get tough...it's painful to watch him play at times because he's so frustrating. He has size you just can't find anywhere else, but he needs to learn how to mix it up and not be such a bitch. Once that happens, the sky's the limit.

Having said that, he had a phenomenal game today...and the Hoyas are a very dangerous, very boring team.

Skins is right with most things he said accept Hibbert has played like this a few times this year. He has had 16 games with more than 16 points and has become a major contributer.

In fact, the game before he was 8-9 17 points 9 boards. Sick stats but he does it in such a quiet way...

I been telling Raj that I want to drop Hibbert in south east DC for the summer and let him sell crack or pimp whores. That he can come back as a mean MOFO. He needs to learn that he is 7-2 285 and play like it....

The best thing about this is that 3 of Gtown starters are sophmores. They will have there PG Wallace, Jeff Green (a 6-9 PF best player on there team), and Hibbert for 2 more years unless they go pro.
