There's something called the super 14 league, a round robin tournie of rugby teams from different countries, aussies, new zealand, south africa, that I ve been doing some reading about. Is there anyone betting this here, because searching by team names I ve found no threads, and even australian books such as centrebet don't even have lines for the upcoming games, just the winner odds, and was wondering isn't this such a large tournie? I am a complete novice in terms of gambling, can anyone here fill me in on the details, rugby fans, aussies, new zealanders, south africans, sports trivia-lists.

thanks guys.

@polarcita, thanks for the rugby info site, I ll have a look at it, I am aware of betbrain but they weren't hosting any odds yesterday when I checked.

@kramerparty. Thanks buddy, I ll have a look at the odds midweek. May I ask why you don't bet the super 14? From what I can gather is the super 14 one of the minor leagues in terms of crowd attendances and general interest?

Not sure how you came to that conclusion. Crowds are similar to NRL and AFL. It is a professional & major competition.

if you want rugby info go to planetrugby.com

Out of ignorance, lol, that's why I am asking. Also because it was established very recently in 1996 for cable tv purposes and because its odds don't feature so prominantly in bookmakers. So thanks for the info.

Rugby in the southern hemisphere really only became professional with the introduction of this competition. It has grown tremendously in popularity, but the betting market is still immature. Ripe with profits for the taking ;)
