Miami has good talent. They could actually win this NIT tournament. Of course at the same time they could also lose their next game by 40. I guess that is why they are in the NIT.

as a coach, would you rather win the NIT or get beat in the first or second game of the NCAA tourney?

Depends on the school...If in a major conference, I would choose winning the NIT...very positive going into next season....haven't seen the trophy that you get for bowing out in the 1st or 2nd round of tourney.

However, If I was coach of a small school that hasn't made the tourney in years or won a tourney game I think that is better for your school.
